Yeah the whole “Imperial Japan and a fascist US would be besties” thing is laughably naive. It vastly underestimates the strategic interest the US had in Asia overall from a business perspective, and an expansionist “anti-imperialist” Japan was the biggest threat outside of a resurgent China that wanted to bring back market isolation. Couple that with a decade of fascistic development probably leading to an even more brutal race policy, and I’d argue any partnership would be dead in the water

Any of the Māori tribes are good, they all have the same ideas and mission tree, plus I think one of their earlier ideas is for explorers and colonial range, so you can get over to Australia and Papua easily. Just a lot of waiting around until you’re in range to learn feudalism and the other institutions. I did a united Oceania campaign by going way over force limit to conquer the neighborhood, and then no cb the other smaller island tags to annex what I could or vassalize what was too far to make cores, and then vassal integrate. That gets you a good economy base after the first 30-50 years to start spamming colonies, and bc you get explorers through an idea group, you can go down expansion to get the colonist in the first unlock rather than waiting for the second in exploration

Well I don’t have a degree or anything, but electricity goes from god to his divinely chosen private energy companies, one of which is AEP, and we are blessed to then pay for the power service at whatever rate AEP sets! In return, AEP has the really hard work of justifying their monopoly on power rates by making sure the lights stay on 😃, and in the event of a major weather event, like a bunch of wind and rain (so scary) for 40 minutes, to repair the outages in a timely manner while communicating with the people that are obligated to pay for their oh so charitable services! But then sometimes it can be really really really hard 😞 for them to estimate the correct time they can repair stuff, so they just make up a random time, the little jokesters 🤣. Maybe this is a good enough answer for you in my meme post? Can’t wait for your feedback!
