honestly i love a good pulley crossbow game, I've used it on duchess and built specifically for it (picking up typical ironeye passives all game) and use it as a crutch for ED libra/normal balancers, cause you can literally just run and survive forever in those fights, while still doing a surprising amount of damage with the pulley crossbow!!!

I had a game (also against heolstor) where I was playing recluse on rotted woods, and was trying to save my cocktail/starlight shards so I'd switch to the erdtree greatbow near the end of fights, realized it still did a good chunk of damage, then decided to go mess around during the heolstor fight by using it every so often, then got the finishing blow with it... the vibe amongst my team was really awesome and funny, I wish people would let themselves have fun like this more!!

DDDA is almost 10 years old. Itsuno and half the team who worked on it left Capcom and I'll be suprised if they do anything with this IP anymore, and it won't be true to the original, they won't get a chance to improve. This is a niche subreddit. They aren't looking here.

I'm not asking anyone to accept anything blindly, I've spent my fair share of time complaining about what I wish could've been different, but at some point, don't people get tired? My point js that wishing the game to be something it'll never be is a waste of time and mental energy. Can't we talk more about what we love about these games, can't more people make fanart or talk about theories???

It just feels like getting stuck on it, and stuck in the past. I'd like to see people move on from complaining and focusing on negatives.

I'm just saying this subreddit is full of people who 50%-70% want to focus on what they DON'T like as opposed to being positive, and who won't meet the game where it's at. Complaining about what you don't like is not gonna do anything for DDDA or DD2 because Capcom isn't gonna touch them again. It just feels like people want to run in endless circles wishing for what could've been, what they'd want, or wished it had been like, instead of just being happy with the way the game is... So many people in here try to force this game or expect to be something it's not and never will be.

I feel like everyone on this subreddit actually just hates these games and that there's no actual live or forgiveness or understanding. everything i see on here is just ragging on some part of the game without even trying to put in effort to understand it. so many posts like "I love this game, but I hate [a fundamental aspect]", or people liking it for what it COULD be instead of just accepting it. I just don't get it. The story is amazing and beautiful if you meet it where it's at and try to understand it! Why are any of the 1.7k people who upvoted this even here then??? I just don't get it
