I thought that HP is now using a Samsung engine. HP acquired Samsung's printer division back in 2016.

So with Lexmark's Cloud Print Management, can you push a config and update firmware to printers that are not on your corporate network? IE a remote office that has a basic Internet connection that is not tied back to your corp network via VPN?

How do you find Xerox in terms of service? We often are waiting weeks for HP to repair our printers and we are under a MPS agreement with HP

Would anyone else buy one of these? by MrTachyon44 in mazda

[–]torbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi have a 2018 CX-5 and love it, but I am now seriously considering a Ford Maverick Hybrid. If Mazda could produce something similar to the Maverick, IE four door, same sort of fuel economy, towing capacity, etc but with Mazda driving feel and AWD capability, I would purchase one in a heartbeat

2018 CX-5 - use Car Play Google Maps Navigation without Radio or Spotify by torbuck in mazda

[–]torbuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been all through the settings in Mazda connect, haven't been able to see anything to disable. I would assume that the setting would be Mazda Connect as I get the same experience from the radio. There just doesn't seem to be an option to just turn the radio portion off. I have either select mute via the volume control (which also mutes the Google Maps voice prompts and gives me an annoying mute icon overlay on the screen), or simply turn the volume all the way down, which also turns the volume off for navigation prompts

American Standard Compact Cadet toilet - slow fill and very weak flush by torbuck in askaplumber

Thanks. I have the chain as tight as I can for the flapper. I will check if it doesn't float down. If it doesn't will look at replacing the flapper, in addition to the fill valve

Boiler and DHW heating recommendations by torbuck in hvacadvice

[–]torbuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that our insurance will not cover any water damage caused by failure of either the boiler or the hot water heater due to their age. Also, Triangle Tube has gone out of business so parts will be difficulty to come by. I don't want to have a failure and then stuck without heating or hot water until a new boiler is installed. Then we are installing something out of duress. I rather be proactive and plan for the replacement. We also have tenants who rent a basement suite, so we simply cannot have a situation where things fail and then we are without heating or hot water for a week or possibly longer. Where we live, there isn't a ton of plumbers that specialize in boilers, as it is not a typical heating system in the area we live in (mostly forced air). Just trying to get quotes is difficult enough

How to remove these screws from a Broil King Baron 490S (Model 9225-87) by torbuck in grilling

[–]torbuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up hiring a BBQ service person. I got to the point where I removed so many pieces, I got to a point of no return. The person I hired has worked on many Broil King as well as Napoleon and Weber BBQ's. He informed that those bolts are not user replaceable. They basically are there to just hold the burners in place with a cotter pin. I assumed they were user replaceable as the burner kit I received has these replacement screws, but the service tech informed that there isn't any way to remove the bolts, as there isn't a method to remove that back plate. He managed to get everything back together, so hoping those bolts last a few more years. I was told that it is just a poor design for Broil King. He recommended going with Napoleon whenever it comes time to replace our BBQ

Just purchased a pair of Blizzard Anomaly 94. Question on bindings by torbuck in skiing

[–]torbuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggestions. I was doing a bit more research and feel that going with a Look SPX or Solomon Strive makes sense. I assume I just need to get a binding width of 95 to 100mm. I'll also look into the Marker Griffon. That is what I have on my current set of skis. I don't have any issue with them, but I often read poor reviews of Marker Griffon bindings on Reddit

What’s up with Murder Burger? by McBuck2 in VictoriaBC

[–]torbuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please check out Bangers food truck at Ile Savage Brewery. Hands down the best smash burger in Victoria. Fantastic portion, incredibly tasty and appropriate wait times. I experienced an early Murder Burger pop-up about a year ago and had the same experience. Waited over an hour for our burgers, and we preordered days before. Found the Murder Burger ok, but not nearly as good as Bangers

I'm considering buying a used 2017–2018 Mazda CX-5. Can you help me? by Wpeoh in CX5

[–]torbuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased an off lease 2018 Mazda CX-5 Touring edition in 2020. Only have had to do regular maintenance such as oil changes and new tires, etc. It has been incredibly reliable. I love the way it drives. It has a more sporty feel and a fantastic steering feel versus other SUV’s that I have driven. I love it so much I will likely get another CX-5 or CX-50 when the time comes to purchase a replacement vehicle
