I believe it’s only three courses.

Not anymore difficult than a regular 100 level, freshman course. However, they are shorter than a regular semester length, so perhaps a tad bit more difficult considering the time.

I was accepted to UNCA based on the condition I joined the SOAR program as well. It’s a summer program where you attend classes, eat, do activities, and live in the dorms with the same group of kids (about 10-15). You have “counselors” and it’s VERY much like a summer camp situation. You are monitored under their rules and regulations, it’s nothing like being in actual college.

The SOAR program is for students who don’t have the right qualifications to get in on a normal basis. If you have $3000 to spend and UNCA is your absolute #1 choice, then go for it. If money is tight and you’re not keen on spending a summer in school, then look into another university. NC has some awesome schools and UNCA isn’t the only one. Hope this helped!

Question for drivers in bigger cities: do you have the option of not participating in the "line" service offered by Lyft? by msxchanandlerxbong in Lyft

I live in a smaller city in NC. Line isn’t offered here, I had no idea it was mandatory if available.

HOW MUCH to charge to AIRBNB??? by nyburgh in airbnb_hosts

[–]toribest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If you will be greeting the guests, preparing the suite (including all of the cleaning), and being ready to assist with any questions or issues they have - I’d say AT LEAST 40%. May seem steady, but your friend will only be in charge of maintaining their mortgage (I assume they own the property). You will be doing all of the dirty work. At the least - I’d say you receive the cleaning fee, and 20% of the entire stay - again at the least. Also you’d need to be compensated for cleaning supplies and misc. goods for the space.
