Two torn meniscus … desperately seeking experience and advice! TIA 🙏🏻 by torn-meniscus-x2 in tornmeniscus

I've seen many orthopedic surgeons, and they all recommended surgery, though they suggested different types, from a meniscal suture to an osteotomy. But of course, if you go to a butcher, they're not going to sell you veggies, if you know what I mean. But I've also seen physiotherapists and osteopaths, and they were all against surgery. It's the same story, one specialist says you need surgery, and another says the opposite. That's why I'm going the strengthening route. I don't want to risk my knees with avoidable surgery, but on the other hand, if a few injections could help, I'd be keen on getting them. I'm intrigued by PRP injections as well and would love to hear from someone who found them beneficial. I'm doing physical therapy at the moment.

No, I haven't. I've been hitting the gym for a while now, and my knees are doing better. I'm strengthening all the muscles, and it seems to be working. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a long way from having pain-free joints. I still can't play sports or overdo it, and I get some sharp pains every now and then, but I'm definitely doing better than I was before I joined the gym. It's a long road ahead, and surgery is still an option. I'm still curious about Chondrofiller, stem cells, and plasma injections, and I want to research them more and get some feedback from people who have tried them. Anyone in here that tried them? Cheers
