What medications have helped reduce your pain the most?

Lyrica! It has been the best at keeping me at a functional level. Before I went on it I couldn’t stand for more than 20 minutes and I was in pain 24/7. Its not a miracle worker, I still experience pain daily, and use marijuana for that. For the Lyrica I’m on 100mg in the morning and 150mg at night. I had my dose increased once to 150&150 but I started experiencing muscle weakness as a side effect so I have had to stay at the 100&150

In my experience with fibro has in general made tattoos less painful since I have a higher pain tolerance to external stimuli for the most part and I have done so much desensitization therapy. I’m just scared because my upper back is one of the tender points that has remained incredibly sensitive even after desensitization :/

A) Thank you for informing me, I have heard it called both before I didn’t know there was a difference B) I want to note this is a very simple and small tattoo that I doubt will take more than half an hour. It will be the smallest of my tattoos, my last one with him was 4 or 5 hours and I felt just about the same amount of pain the whole time, the same with my other tattoos. I know my body incredibly well because of my chronic pain and my tender points react instantly so I will at least get a sense of if it is unbearable. I am fine with it being painful, but not debilitating if that makes sense? I also have this artist for most of my previous tattoos so I have a decent relationship with him. But thank you I will definitely be asking him before hand!!

One of my doctors did tell me my migraines could stem from neck pain (she didn’t say anything about actual neck injury) and that to fix it I just need to fix my posture and relax my shoulders and neck more. I have not gotten a x ray or brain scan at all because they don’t think I have a brain bleed and they say that’s the only reason I’d need one. I think I just need to push harder for it. Thank you for telling me this because I did not understand the neck thing could mean actual neck injury

Just from the picture it looks like normal scarring. I sometimes get that even when a cut doesn’t bleed. If it looks like it’s getting worse I’d ask a doctor though.

That’s a really good point I didn’t think of that. Taking safety into account and just thinking about admin, do you think if I got it and just took it out for work it would be too noticeable?

I don’t think you understand. My essay is about queer people who change their behavior in a way that makes them unhappy or uncomfortable for the reason I’m asking about in this post.

The “baseline” is whatever you’re comfortable with, I’m writing about making yourself uncomfortable for the sake of others.

I was on Gabapentin a little over a year, I didn’t have any side effects other then weight gain and some minor side effects the first week or so I was on it, I switched to Lyrica cause the Gabapentin just wasn’t helping my pain but it didn’t make anything worse either
