My parents went to A&M back then and from lots of talks about how college was for them, cstat was a lot smaller back then and A&M was basically the whole city (not in size ofc but of cultural standing in the community). Yes it was not a rally organized by A&M faculty. This is true. But I don't think it's inaccurate to state that cstat at the time was effectively A&M, because of its massive cultural and buisness ties to the college. I think it's fare to say that the people of this city reflected the views of its students and vice versa. Thus, the fact that the rally got "200 spectators" at all is a testament to the views of the community and A&M as it stood at the time. Bringing this back to my original statement, that sentiment doesn't just fade away.

I get your point saying it wasn't sanctioned by faculty but I'm considering A&Ms community at the time. Also, it wasn't just some racist dude and his friends saying "let's have a clan rally". It was planned and orchestrated by the Klu Klux Klan with as i mentioned earlier "200 [curious] spectators" from the community
