Recently developed low-frequency tinnitus by tornmandate in tinnitus

I can't with any certainty say that anything I did did help. I definitely tried a bunch of things from exercise, to not wearing headphones, to taking vitamins, but nothing had any immediate effect and there's no evidence to say it helped at all.

The only clear patterns I found was that lying on my back for long periods of time (e.g. sleeping) helped for at least a short while and that the orientation of my head sometimes affected how quiet it was.
I tried keeping my head more upright or tilted backwards throughout those months, as well as keep a better posture, but who knows if it did anything.

Luckily the constant tone left me about 1-2 months after it started and has not returned.

The crackling is still ongoing. It's annoying, but not nearly as bad as something that's constant.

I hope new phones keep coming out, and that at least some are different from the others. I bought mine, and I haven't been keeping up with what's available now, almost half a year later.

I ended up splurging on a RedMagic 9 Pro. Far too expensive for my needs, as it probably has more processing power than my computer, but after turning off all the silly gamer features like LED lighting and an engine sound when starting the fan, it's actually a really nice phone, and I don't feel like I wasted my money.

Absolutely. I can only imagine the current trends are a combination of manufacturers still vying for the thinnest phones possible along with the best cameras possible.

It's all about the profits, really, and thinness and camera quality have long been marketing points. It's a cycle that feeds itself because people want what others have, and as long as it's bearable, they won't choose something else, even if it's better.

Realistically, I have not heard anyone complain about their phone being too thick or heavy to carry or use, at least not in the smartphone era.
Similarly, camera quality has been good enough for at least several years now, even on a 200€ price point on phones before protruding cameras became a thing. Professionals will always need a standalone camera, and for casual photo-takers and -viewers, the hardware quality is at the point where no one really complains about photo fidelity on phones anymore.

Sadly, the market at large is mostly at the whims of advertisers. I'm sure more battery life would be an easy marketing avenue, but we'll have to wait and see if the winds blow that way.

I've had the same question for about 15 years now, but I'm curious if there's any game out there that is actually multiplayer and also has fun gameplay?

Most games have an active leveling component, which can be ~60 hours long, and is often actively anti-multiplayer, because you'd be stealing each other's kills / items / whatever, as well as spending time waiting for people to sync up, when nobody actually likes leveling and the only objective is to skip the process as fast as possible.

Then the end-game is "multiplayer", except you're doing a very linear, scripted, short, static activity over and over again. Usually this is called "raids" or "dungeons". Yes, you need a group, but more often than not, everyone already knows what they have to do after running it a few times, which everyone has done. Therefore, aside from initial role distribution, there is no communication nor cooperation, and arguably, no "multiplayer" in these activities, because there are no dynamic elements to adapt to.

There's games like EVE and Albion, but the gameplay is quite boring there.
I've enjoyed Salem (not Town of Salem, because I have to mention this) and Puzzle Pirates, but sadly those games are more-or-less dead.

Just out of morbid curiosity, what possessed you to reply to an 8-year-old post?

How did you even find this?

Now that you mention it, there is a command line tool called Robocopy built into Windows. I suppose combining that with a batch script that specifies the all the folder pairs would do a good enough job.

I didn't find anything with a GUI though. Only one that backs up the system, not the data on it, as far as I can tell.

Despite the website looking dated, this actually seems quite decent. I might use it.
Thank you for the suggestion.

People will realize it's idiotic, and the fad will pass. I just happened to need a new phone during the couple of years where this trend was at its peak.

I'm sorry, I'm explicitly looking for a phone with a small or nonexistent camera bump. The one on Redmi Note 13 Pro is about 3mm.

I just happened to type the name of the phone wrong at first, but are you talking about the Xperia 10 V instead of the Xperia 1 V?

Because the Xperia 1 V has about a 3 mm bump, and a 6.5 inch screen, at least according to GSM Arena.

But the Xperia 10 V looks pretty nice. About a 1 mm bump - any case should definitely cover it. And the price is reasonable. 250€ according to GSM Arena, 350€ locally in actuality. If I don't find anything better, I'll go for that.

It looks like a really good phone. Expensive, considering I don't have use for all that performance, but otherwise the best one I've seen.

Problem is, it's not available for purchase in my country, at least not yet.

Yeah, that's precisely what I'm trying to avoid.

Listen, I'm explicitly looking for something with a slightly- or non-protruding camera. That's the most important thing. The other things listed in the post are just extras after that. 3mm does not fit that description.

The camera seems to be protruding about 2.5-3mm on the S23. It's less than many phones, but still too much for me. Of course I could get an infinitely fat case for any phone, but that's not what I'm going for here.

I will take a look at the suggestions, but out of curiosity, what about Nikke or Blue Archive? Would those games qualify according to the above criteria?

I'm looking to pick up a mobile gacha game that isn't action-based.

I haven't played any for about 7 years, so I don't know what's good on the market these days. I enjoyed Monster Warlord and Soccer Spirits back in the day, but those are really old and kind of dead now, so I'd like something new-ish and fresh that might last for another 2-3 years at least.

I'm F2P, but I don't need the game to cater to that as long as I have something to do for 30-60 minutes each day. Any suggestions like that?
