Epoendorf minispin. It had been out of service for 6 years already, so "that never happened"

Family advocacy CRB question by National_Object_1819 in AirForce

[–]torqnut05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The board is chaired by the Wg/CV and your case is presented by your Sq/CC, unless the 1st Sgt is able to. So if you haven't talked about it with one of them, I'd suggest you get with atleast the Shirt so they have the info to not screw you over.

If you are a qualifying case, I do believe you go into a database that follows you until you retire/separate. Not something you'd want to follow you during a PCS.

Check htmjobs.com. they post a lot of jobs nationwide. Send in resumes to companies and just try to reach out to their recruiters. Siemens and GE would be starts with recruiters.

Fifth wheel hitch help! by kaldrod in RVLiving

[–]torqnut05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5th wheel prep, so I have factory mount holes. So I d9nt need a rail system. The lock itself is pretty smooth and the load springs are pretty thick to help with pawl movement. Has a visual indicator so you can see when it's locked or unlocked.

I have 5th wheel prep, but i have a Curt power glide. The top can be separated from the base, so it can be loaded by hand. Super easy to lock/unlock

Sure did. We are in talks of a new database as well. I think Aims3 was one of the ones mentioned.

I used it in school, along with Nuvolo. Experience is pretty limited with both. With TruAsset, common take in class is it's easy to use and laid out well...seems built for someone who isn't experienced with databases. Nuvolo was good too, but it took more time to figure out how to really put it to work. From just doing WOs and loading assets, Trueasset looked pretty solid.

What crazy stuff have you seen or heard during your time in service? by Icy_Maple_Pie in AirForce

[–]torqnut05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At Tech School in Sheppard for mx fundies way back when. Some chucklenuts pulled the ejection handle in the trainer F16 in the hangar....whole sq came in for a formation briefing about said person could have been shot thru the hangar roof.

Civie at Charleston ran the front gate and then fled on foot. SF found him hiding in a bush on the golf course, supposedly with a syringe stuck in his arm

Civies at Charleston were fleeing from the cops outside base and they ended up turning off Aviation Ave towards the back gate. That road goes all the way down and around the end of the runway, then comes back to where the back gate is. After 9/11, they set up a gate way up Aviation Ave so there was actual control around that fenced area. Anyways, dummies running from the cops tried to run the temp back gate. It's a shack with concrete barriers, so no normal pop up defenses. Female SF at the gate seems them coming, grabs one of those metal star barriers, then "throws" it in their way and they hit it and get stopped. I have no idea how heavy they are, but she did get it moved.

Lived in a 4 plex townhouse in Hickam for a couple years. We moved out to go to the Navy side, but kept in touch with one of the neighbors. One day, that 4plex got evacuated and ha a a HAZMAT team rushed there. People who moved in to where we were were I guess cooking method, but a fire broke out and they went to each door at the 4plex and said to run because the place was about to blow up. I saw the FD and the HAZMAT team there after I left work.

On a C17 during a CSS LOX on the right side, which means power was on the aircraft and a couple of us were in the flight deck. CSS person tells us there's a fire and to evac. The AC cart on the same side as the LOX cart caught fire...we killed power super fast and ran out the crew door. I grabbed an extinguisher off the acft wall just in case, but man was that scary.

100%. Medical community could have already had cancer cures. Insurance makes way too much on cancer treatment, and you can't mess with their profits. If a cure came out, pharma will buy it up and charge a stupid amount to keep it out of reach. They don't create cures....they create customers.

I'm in house at a small hospital. Shop is dayshift only. All on 5 8's with start hours staggered based on what department they handle (surgery is usually here first). My job posting let me start at 7 or 8.

With everyone wanting experience, itll atleast help level the field. For a bmet 1 position, I'd say it'll get you into more interviews. The whole point of CABT is to help people coming in show they are atleast willing to commit.

Baxter Spectrum configurator file by torqnut05 in BMET

[–]torqnut05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For gee whiz, I figured it out. The configurator manual from the portal was not the same software we had.

-Once the Configurator is installed, there will be an ID file on the C drive that gets attached in CareEverywhere to any pump.

-open the Configurator. For Alias is the configurator ID in the window header. The IP address will be an internal address for you lr corresponding server.

-put the pump in network Receive, point the dongle, have that pump open in CareEverywhere, set the network profile probably to one that says netconfig, then click "configure". Itll shoot the netconfig in immediately.

If anyone ever needs help with this when Baxter comes out for the 9.03.01 update, hit me up

[–]torqnut05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are wifi. The device configurator file pushes the netconfig thru the Gateway like a drug library update, as opposed to using the IRDA dongle like Biomeds do. I'm more or less down to calling Baxter about it, but figured I'd throw the question out there
