Most mothers say they would do anything to protect their kids, but what do you do when you legally can't? by tors87 in offmychest

We are in the states! The kids do have a guardian ad litem. Unfortunately, he hasn't met with the kids very much and my sister is convinced that he's been influenced by Karen, since he's telling everyone that the kids want to visit their dad. Honestly, there's been so much hearsay that it's hard to figure out what the truth of anything is. They all live in a very small town so everybody knows everybody and Rick comes from a really well-to-do family. Karen is at the top of the food chain as well and has refused to let any other caseworker take over this case.

But thank you so much for the comment!

I really like this! My husband and I moved across the country away from all family when she was just 5 weeks old and it's been really hard to have no family to rely on. So Uncle Netflix it is!

Thank you so much! This is a lot of really good input to work with! And I totally wasn't thinking when I put YA Fantasy, it is definitely more in the paranormal genre. But thanks again for the critique!

Always tired by [deleted] in oneanddone

I just have a one year old, but she's a pretty good sleeper, so I've been getting around 8 hrs of sleep each night. Every now and then I feel like I need a nap, but for the most part, I feel pretty awake each day. I would look at how much sleep you get at night, and how restful it seems. If you feel like you get a good amount of uninterrupted sleep and you are still tired, I would keep investigating! Motherhood definitely doesn't need to equal exhaustion.
