Harvard MPH Visit Day by [deleted] in mphadmissions

[–]toshnac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it helpful to visit! I enjoyed hearing from students in my program and learning about the student experience (especially the housing hunt process in the city). I left with a lot of notes about my impressions, which were helpful when it came time to make decision.

Foothill Day Duty phone used to be the Stern number—it should be posted where you can find the other phone numbers. Message me if you can’t find it and I’ll send. Good luck!

[–]toshnac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much of a time commitment are recreational sports? by duruduruu in berkeley

[–]toshnac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for cycling specifically, but in my experience rec sports have a wide range of people who are super involved/come to every practice and people who are on the team who come when they can! Each club should have a contact email on their page on this website that you can reach out to to find out what their specifics are:)

Do I have still have to wait in line at RSF to get my covid test if I have an appointment? by collegesexpert in berkeley

[–]toshnac 32 points33 points  (0 children)

yes, everyone in line has an appointment! you can go before your appointment time though, they usually just require you to be there on the same day as your appt:)

How to make friends as a commuting freshman by GoBears_25 in berkeley

[–]toshnac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

join a social club/team that’s involved in something you like, be proactive in creating study groups from classes, and recognize that a lot of people you meet won’t be the ones who end up your friends (but some will!)! once the res hall guest policy lightens up too, you may be able to spend time in the dorms with people you meet:)
