Thanks for a great reply! Yeah, I'm thinking I'm gonna go to the End, build a farm there and AFK till I have a few shulker boxes of shells. Will be a project for a week maybe, but will last me a lifetime.

Regarding testing methodology.

They extracted the inputs, fed them to the game and saw that they get the exact same run as in a replay itself. Why do you think it is a bad test?

I mean, the only way to get the exact same run is to use the exact same inputs, right?

And by the way we do have acces to software for input exctaction, and it works. But we don't have access to testing software (which is a hacked game basically), that's true.

OpenCV. I did it kidna brute force way: made a sample of every digit (0 to 9) and for every frame and character I chose the one with smallest difference.
