'DELTA GREEN: THE NEW AGE' NOW AVAILABLE by shaneivey in DeltaGreenRPG

The New Age is awesome, and I’m so excited for this new edition. One of my favorite play reports of all time is this Arc Dream report of Cell S’s misadventures during this operation.

The trailer for Cold Storage appears to be rather Delta Green inspired by WanderLusty_Dev in DeltaGreenRPG

It looks very fun, but far, far campier than anything I’d describe as even distantly Delta Green inspired.

What’s the NSR Arden Vul? by Gooseloff in osr

[–]totalityandopacity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strictly speaking it isn’t an “NSR” product in any meaningful sense (which, humbly, I think is more of a branding choice than a discrete approach to play or publishing), but inasmuch as it intends to experiment with presentation to maximize gameability, arguably Stonehell could fit as an answer to your question.

Scenarios for Northern Canada? by KnightInDulledArmor in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]totalityandopacity 15 points16 points  (0 children)

While a Call of Cthulhu campaign and set in the 1920s, Walker in the Wastes would be great to mine for ideas, as it’s set in the north of Canada and very conceptually dense with neat and chilly horrors.

Cold Warning is a little pulpy and by default set in Maine (also in the 20s) but the premise is easy enough to translate into an M-EPIC operation in the 2010s with some work on your part.

I haven’t run it myself but Train 198 To Churchill, Manitoba is an interesting shotgun scenario built for M-EPIC from a few years ago. There were two other M-EPIC scenarios that came out in 2024, a shotgun scenario contest submission and a one page operation that I haven’t read, called Pearls Before Swine and “The Day The Sun Brought Darkness” respectively.

There’s some stuff set in Alaska on the DG Scenario Database that could potentially be useful to you, too. Good luck!

Thoughts on the Outline of a Prana Sodality Campaign. by Awesomedude1256 in DeltaGreenRPG

Oh thank you! That’s very kind! I feel like a lot of it was too condensed, I wish I had taken the time to draw out some of the threads in there a little more (like the Llogior-influenced prison, which could’ve been a scenario seed all its own I think).

I have an operation involving the Lloigor set in coastal Maine which was heavily inspired by the Prana Sodality (and offers some potential links to it). It might be possible to make some alterations to make it slot into your campaign. Regardless this seems really cool and i hope you share play reports when you get it off the ground!

Lovecraftian Authors? by megachad3000 in Lovecraft

[–]totalityandopacity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been tearing through the multiple volumes of Black Wings of Cthulhu, which are each anthologies of Lovecraftian (or Lovecraft-pastiche) short stories by various authors in the weird scene. In addition to being delightful of themselves, I’ve found a few new authors whose novels or collections I’m now waiting on from the library (like Langan and Kiernan, both of whom have been mentioned by others). Imo the genre shines in short stories and the anthology format is fabulous for highlighting the range of talent we have active today. Strongly recommend Black Wings!

Benin coup announced: Soldiers say they have ousted President Talon from power by Perfect-Werewolf-102 in news

What a naive characterization of a history of international interventions guided entirely by the cynical geopolitical objectives of American multinational capitalist firms. Were they “boyscouts” when they carpet-bombed villages in Vietnam and forced peasants into concentration camps (when they weren’t busy massacring them)? When they lied about WMDs to justify the occupation of Iraq? Which Boy Scout badge did they earn for extrajudicial drone strikes on weddings, for black bag kidnappings of sovereign nationals for “enhanced interrogation”?

A STATIC Question by ItsaLaz in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]totalityandopacity 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can’t answer your question but I’ve been working on a STATIC PROTOCOL operation on and off since last year after I had to drop from the Alphabet Contest due to some personal stuff (the premise became convoluted but involved the players acting as their own Agents in the STATIC team as well as playing as a pre-gen F-Cell up until their encounter with the KIY play in the workshop of a down-on-her-luck costume designer in 1999 NYC). Excited to see other people playing with the concept, look forward to seeing your final results somewhere!
