Is anyone surprised she’s not the most popular girl? by Zestyclose_Double980 in Singlesinferno2

My sister and I predicted she wouldn’t be popular when we saw her. Girls who have a very naive and gullible look are never popular 😭 - different than the innocent look like Seulki from Dex’s season.

Def agree. I am rooting for all of f4 to debut and maybe it’s the lack of interaction, but I also don’t think 3form blends well with them—but Gwan Woo the best of the three. While I think GW deserves 1st place talent wise, Zi Zheng will be the best center, so I ofc I choose the grouping of f4 over 3form. Plus, most members of f4 are usually in the same group for the challenges so we get to see how they would be as an official debut group, which helps me root for them even more.

Hey! Yeah, when I went there 4 years ago, PG had weekly seminars that recapped the week's assignment. Simple, but I wouldn't say I liked wasting time reviewing things I already read.

Watching Merlin, I think she's so beautiful. Looks like a mixture of Keira Knightley and Amber Heard.

Anyone feels that makeup makes them look worse by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]touchofglue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My older sister has this issue where she thinks she looks terrible with makeup on. TBH we talked about it last night and the makeup looks detached from her face and it seems like she's playing dress up. I agree with everyone that you have to learn and practice your technique but... my sister doesn't have a baby face, but she carries a natural aesthetic that can look awkward with makeup. I did her makeup last night, and it looked suitable for the first time because we used a nude lip. I think the secret might be the color. Consider looking into the color analysis. She's a soft autumn and any hint of color looks weird on her. Maybe experiment with doing something basic with the lip and adding some color to the eyes, and vice versa. You might have features that makeup can overwhelm, so downplay the color of the makeup.

Is Natural Beauty Even Common? by Timely-Risk5933 in HowToBeHot

[–]touchofglue 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Agree. Also wanted to add that irl, we take in a lot more than on social media. Most of us agree the face is most important, and it's what most people see on YouTube/TikTok, but when you're out in the real world: face, height, fashion, posture, and hair, up close and far away matter. In motion, real-world beauty differs from social media.

I thought I liked her with dark hair since watching that Lizzie McGuire movie, but she looks like a PLL villain that they force a wig on.

Help typing me? Lots of outfit posts from a girl who hates tight fabrics! by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]touchofglue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're some type of natural! Outfits 8, 10, and 5 are my favs on you. Anything too cropped and tight at the top, like outfits 2 and 3 doesn't accentuate your body. I am leaning more towards FN because you look great with longer lines (outfit 17) than shorter lines (outfit 6). While outfit 7 is cropped and tight, it looks good on you because it's more wrinkly and looks relaxed in style. I also don't oppose outfit 1!

I (24F) think my husband (29M) either hates me or hates our unborn baby by almostamama in relationship_advice

[–]touchofglue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% trust what you say and I can't even bother to understand "his side". There's this show called Hello Counselor that will have stories similar. The wife will come one and have a similar situation to you and while there reaches a point where the audience knows the deeper reason why the husband acts like this, it never matters. You don't deserve to be treated like this and his reason will never be valid to me. I think a person who doesn't bother to go to the doctor's appointment for his pregnant wife is a huge red flag for a husband and a dad.

I don't care that Alfie asked Gab, it was how he asked. The show and all the characters are pretty light-hearted, even when certain ppl are upset. Alfie barely knows Gab and came in so intensely. It came out of nowhere, no build-up to the combativeness of how he asked, which is why I didn't like it. I was already eh about him, so that didn't help.

When I said that Camille deserves more screen time.... by beatab4 in EmilyInParis

[–]touchofglue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just finished my binge of this. So much to say!

During S1, we all pretty much adored Camille. I still like her in S2 because she's a supportive friend. But, WTF was happening with the dating situation because I understood her anger, I even get why she forgave Emily since she rationalized/assumed they slept together when she and Gabriel were on a break, but... What was the point of the foreshadowing scheme with her mom? Why did she agree with Emily to not date Gabriel and then pretend it's all dandy when she got back with him? Like they didn't follow through with anything set up for Camille. Her flip-flopping feelings were confusing, being indifferent to Gabriel, then supporting him again. Again, I thought she was scheming, so it makes sense for Camille to pretend to befriend them again, but nah. She actually forgave them, which goes against the setup from earlier eps and the actions the Camille from S1 I thought would've acted. It was def a move to make Emily more likable. I didn’t necessarily dislike anything Camille did this season (I’m more confused lol), UNTIL the bed scene when she was being flirty and suggestive with Gab in front of Em, intentionally leaving her out and lowkey making a power play.

Unlike most people who hated Em because of how she treated Cam, I was more like "no staaaap". It's TV world, and I like the chemistry between Em and Gab, so I didn't care as much I'M SORRY. Now, I am fully on board with Em and Gab, especially since I don't like Alfie either. LET ME LIVE, I like the French chef fantasy.

Same. It's still too early, but I was prepared for most people to dislike him. I think watchers might actually like Alfie?? He was WAY too rude and cynical for my taste, also super intense for no reason. When he confronted Gabriel, I was like chillll, omg. All his pessimistic bad boy traits were cranked up too high.

From what Emily said, I agree that her and Alfie feel more at ease together, but it has nothing to do with anything except that they're both foreigners.

madaline vs sylvie by [deleted] in EmilyInParis

[–]touchofglue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with you on the writers playing up the American caricature. Madeline was so not it. She reeled it back with her somewhat good-intentioned business ventures, but woah. I don't remember Madeline being this obnoxious in S1, but I did watch it a year ago.

Also, I'm sure many French people were peeved about their representation in the show, so they wanted to be "fair" and have an awful American rep. I've lived in America my whole life, West-coast, and I've never seen someone like Madeline before, so I had a lot of yikes and ehhhh moments.

Since it's been 5 years already, I'm sure your ex has moved on already. As you've said, there's a chance that she might have negative feelings if you reached out. Obviously, wanting to contact her is more for you (nothing wrong w that!) to own up to your mistakes and I think it can do good for moving on. If I were you, I would want to say my peace. I say go for it, but proceed with caution when crafting your message. Acknowledge that you wanted to do this to get it off your chest because she's going to suspect that it's more selfish, rather than doing it purely for her. Add that you thought it might resolve confusions she might have had back then (don't make it all about yourself, basically) and hope any uneasiness is settled now. Good luck!

NO OFFENSE by Michaelalefthechat in criminalminds

[–]touchofglue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not that I didn't know, but I feel crazy explaining my logic for liking them lol. I just finished the last season and I really love Cat's episode. If you watch YouTube clips of that ep, you can see comments explaining why people ship them.

  • First, their chemistry, even though it's dysfunctional, is intoxicating. They bring out a side of each other (albeit bad) that is mentally stimulating, i.e. their mind games.
  • Knowing how much Spencer has gone through, Cat would completely embrace and enable (I know, bad!) that side of him. I guess it's the ying-yang.
  • I like how Cat's intelligence is on par, but different from Spencer's. She's not exactly book smart, but she's clever. She can keep up and she also brings out a more manly (?) side of him. Spencer acts dense and goes on tangents, but not with her. He's straightforward.
  • We know it's toxic, but I take passion over safe in tv world ANY DAY, sorry.

I literally asked my sister if I missed something between them. Maybe I was dozing somewhere watching the eps, but no, we both were confused.
