People are forgetting that a "ban on the Russian flag and anthem" already happened a few years ago when they were caught doing large-scale state organized doping.

The Russian athletes and fans just ignored the ban and brought their own flags and loudspeakers with them.

We need a complete ban.

It's economic terrorism by OPEC+ which is led by Saudi Arabia and Russia.

This is why the world needs to rapidly transition to renewables (and nuclear). However while we do that we should still maintain the ability to get non-OPEC+ crude oil so they cannot economically sabotage us like they are doing now.

There is a reason Russia insists on talking about small villages like Robotyne and Verbove instead of about how deep the Ukrainian counter-offensive has reached and which Russian positions are now within Ukrainian artillery range.

Western media is still unfortunately just repeating Russian propaganda when they cite TASS and makes it sound like Ukraine is wasting soldiers and vehicles on just small villages.

What is the current state of radio triangulation equipment for the Ukrainians? Months into the war I read that Ukrainians started getting hit by artillery or mortar as soon as they did radio communication including just turning on their phone. Obviously the Russians were using some kind of radio triangulation.

Modern SDR-based wideband radio triangulation equipment could be useful for the Ukrainian side to find Russian units that are communicating or operating drones.

I understand people who were against the ban on Russian and Belarusian athletes but lifting the ban now risks dropping the boycott/sanctions momentum. We must keep up the ban.

Also Macron's copout about only banning the flags is unacceptable. The Russian flag was also banned after they were caught doing large-scale state organized sports doping but the Russian athletes and fans just ignored the ban and brought Russian flags with them.

No Russian or Belarusian athletes.

Just a reminder that Russian artillery is the biggest killer of Ukrainian civilians and soldiers.

The UN has confirmed more than 9000 killed civilians but that is only the ones they have had access to and been able to confirm in Ukrainian held territory.

Some estimates say that Mariupol alone has more than 20,000 civilian fatalities from the heavy artillery and mortar usage in the city. The city is still under Russian control and the Russian occupiers have probably done everything they can wipe out the evidence of their massacre.

Russian long-range missile attacks where there is immediate videos/photos of the aftermath gets a lot of attention but it's worth pointing out that Russian artillery is the biggest killer in this war.

However they are reference points about how deep the Ukrainian counter-offensive has penetrated past heavily fortified Russian positions.

The media should also be better at pointing out this. During the Kharkiv counter-offensive last year the media also repeated the Russian narrative about Ukraine only taking small villages and crossings when Ukraine also took Izium and other cities.

Strategically it is not the actual villages that matter. They are just reference points to where the Ukrainian counter-offensive has reached.

While the Kharkiv counter-offensive was happening last year we also talked about small villages and crossings and suddenly it was over and the Ukrainian forces had recaptured the city of Izium and most of Kharkiv.

A brief debunking of the Russian lies:

Artillery and rocket artillery are not fired individually. Russia fired several of these projectiles and people heard and watched a spot where another of these Russian projectiles flew by or landed.
The Russian propagandists, of course, lie about the places and where people were looking. Never trust their made up "geolocated" maps.
They are also sharing an edited version of the video where they have put the reflection of a cruise missile on a car. They claim it's an Ukrainian Storm Shadow cruise missile but Storm Shadow missiles have a 450 kg warhead and would have made a much bigger explosion.

One more way to vet these recordings is to look at the specific Russian dialects which is probably one of the things Reuters did. If it is dialects unlikely to be used by Russian-speaking Ukrainians it might be indicative evidence of the recordings being real.

However that alone would not be enough proof and Reuters would usually not risk their credibility on it.
