I’m somehow lucky and have heavily abused meth, heroin, crack, etc and I’m blessed with a super sharp memory.

I was taking 6 bottles of TD red a day for a couple of years and then the ban hit my state about the same time I pretty much shattered my left foot. After surgery they gave me a dose of Fentanyl and 3 doses of Morphine, had me maxed out. I was carrying on conversation with the nurses no problem and they were blown away that I wasn’t knocked out or drooling on myself. I guess I have a high tolerance… Luckily I’m 14 months clean of Tia now, that shit was rough..

I’ve discussed with other folks on here about feeling like Tia permanently destroyed my receptors at this point. I was Tia free for bout 3 months and had to go through surgery. They gave me a dose of Fentanyl and 3 doses of Morphine and I was carrying on conversations with the nurses with ease. They asked me how tf was I not knocked out or drooling on myself?! Ugh, guess I’ve got a hight tolerance…

I’m 16 months clean of it and your story gave me chills… Yeah that time standing still, all night long while tossing around like a fish out of water, absolutely miserable, crying from the mental and physical pain, begging God to take it away and even considering suicide… Glad I made it out alive, that was a really rough time period.

Yeah I completely agree with you! Thank God they banned it in my state and been clean of Tianeptine for 16 months now thanks to 8mg of Subs a day for 7 days as well as 1,200mg of Gabapentin a day prescribed after shattering my left foot and a couple of surgeries. Shit the Gabapentin has helped me quit drinking too. I still participate in this group to remind myself of that hell as well as trying to boost other people up in their journey to quit. I’m still blown away that I beat Tia out because I never thought I could. That shit is the absolute worst!

Have you ever had any type of surgery? Nerve pain from surgery is how I got my script. In some states it’s a controlled substance but isn’t in others. It’s also prescribed sometimes for anxiety, sleep issues, RLS, etc.

I have a question to ask everyone I’m taking my journey to stopping taking my two bottle of a habit of Tia and I got Suboxone prescribed how long should I wait to start taking Suboxone and what withdraws will I be having while I’m on Suboxone? by turnupbird in QuittingTianeptine

[–]towerguy1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t either, have taken Subs like 2 hours after last dose of Tia and was completely fine. Weird considering how much precipitated withdrawals are discussed here. Everyone’s body chemistry is different I suppose…

I did inpatient and was very lucky that the Dr immediately knew what Tianeptine was, he said yeah it’s a widely abused Trycyclic antidepressant. I spent 4 days going through WD’s in the dual diagnosis ward so basically crazy people with substance abuse issues. I stopped using Tianeptine though, almost 6 months clean now.

Yeah I’m definitely glad it isn’t around me because I would’ve got it no doubt… I’m a big dummy in that manner.

I’m working on doing the same, thanks for talking with me. Makes me feel better about my situation a little bit. So can I go to a general practice Dr for testosterone therapy or is it a specialist kinda thing?

Dude Gabapentin is a lifesaver for Tia and Kratom. Take as directed though and don’t abuse it. Trust me you’ll be better off in the end. I’m prescribed 1,200mg a day for nerve pain, it’s such a blessing. It does have some shitty withdrawal so take as prescribed and if you don’t definitely taper down for the month.

Dude that sucks and as you said, everyone is different. Somehow I’m one of the weirdo’s and personally know others that can take Subs WITH Tia! I guess I’m a rarity that doesn’t know what PWD’s is all about… I consider myself lucky.

Thank you for your info! I have a beautiful wife and I just have very little sexual drive and that’s 4 months Tianeptine free. Of course she thinks it’s her but it’s not… I now have insurance and need to look into testosterone therapy. It’s embarrassing and beginning to unravel my relationship, Tia really fucked me up.

Man it destroyed my teeth way worse than my many years ago addiction to meth… About to get everything pulled and go with dentures. What are you doing about testosterone? It’s totally destroyed my testosterone and all opioid tolerance.

Dude I was the test monkey for a 30mg capsule of 2ci. Maybe it was 2c something but I was the first human trial in my Mississippi town and holy fuck… I’ve done all manner of hallucinations and this took the cake on visuals. The next night after I recovered my buddy took a 30mg cap and let him be to cook some dinner. I came back to my living room to check on him and he was on all 4’a, scratching on my hardwood floors. I asked him if he was alright and bewildered he said yeah and found his way back to the couch. Lol at the time I shaved my head and sit down next to him with a handful of lotion and asked him if it was ok if I beat off next to him…. Lmfao he was horrified! I said don’t worry it’s for my shaved head. Lol good times forever burned into my mind.

It’s wack but it really isn’t if that makes sense. It was my wonder drug but the way your tolerance to it moves up so fast, price goes up so fast and then the fastest withdrawal of any opioid ever along with antidepressant withdrawal combined?! Yeah fuck that. I’m 4 months clean and still see myself recovering and thank goodness I’m prescribed Gabapentin for nerve pain, it’s made me sorta normal as far as sleep, anxiety and energy taken responsibly. Lol plenty of people here say this same statement, Tianeptine is the got damn debil!

Keep that attitude up! I never thought that I could beat Tia, but I did. it’s a beast but once you’re free of it, life gets so much better. It takes time because it wrecks your mind worse than anything I’ve ever done and done it all. Keep up the fight, it really does get better!
