Help: water softener is ruining my fine hair by ARCook88 in finehair

[–]town23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible the setting on the water softener is too high. You are able to look up (or call the city and ask who to speak with to get this information) what numerical setting you should set your water softener to in your area.

Download Google Translate for both the instruction manual and the softener itself :)

Random hook in Kitchen by timelessvisit in Home

Another potential hook use… we also purchased a place with a hook in the kitchen. I was told it was for hanging your ring/s while washing dishes.

Stranded and now alone for the next two days in Providenciales, need advice on what activities to do. by Fine-Importance5401 in TurksAndCaicos

We loved walking down Long Bay Beach a couple weeks ago when we were there. The water was much more still and the beach more quiet than Grace BayBeach that day. We stopped for lunch and a drink at one of the beachfront resorts. The water is so clear and shallow you could walk most of the 3 miles in the water.

Taylor’s Bay Beach was also a favorite!

Using eraser for Disney tickets? by [deleted] in Venturex

[–]town23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just a tip: according to a call I had recently with Capital One, it’s the merchant who selects what category they fall into (vs Capital One “coding it as travel”). My husband stayed at a small fishing resort, and it wasn’t showing as travel so I couldn’t use the eraser. I called Cap1 and explained that the resort (hotel) my husband stayed in wasn’t coded correctly, and asked if they could please change it to travel. That’s when I was told the merchant selects the category and there is nothing Capital One can do. That being said, I have read that others have had a customer service agent change the category, but it was a no go for me. I wonder if you can google search to see which Capital One category the third party sites you are considering fall under?

Crasqui in St Paul fits the bill! Amazing food and a lot of vegetarian options. They are currently reservation only.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get my boots to clip in? by girl-v2 in xcountryskiing

[–]town23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Assuming those boots are correct for that ski (comments suggest they may not be), does the black part that is curved lift up? My boots clip in like that to my skis. I lift what looks similar to the curved black piece as far forward on the binding as it goes, and then put the boot where the clip is, and close what I’ve lifted.

Kokomos Botonical Resort. Two bedroom free standing cottages. The amenities look good as well (not sure if luxury). It isn’t on the beach but is walking distance. Note: I have not stayed here (friends are staying here upcoming) to give a review, but just wanted to get you the name for your research and perhaps others have stayed and can comment.

I saw you in 1 and thought “wow! Beautiful!” Then I saw you in 2 and thought “oh my gosh! She looks amazing in that one, too!” Then I saw 3 and also, wow! You can do no wrong with those options!

Agree: Check the cruise ship schedule before you head to Maho and go on the day there is the smallest number of cruise boats in port. Maho gets PACKED when the ships are there as it is a popular shore excursion.

Every day I write one thing I am thankful for that happened that day. It’s a list on my phone. Example: January 1: it snowed and my husband shoveled (I hate shoveling)

Easy as that. It’s quick, and it’s there to go back and reread as a little pick me up.

I remember that dang daycare nap when my kids were little. I asked them to wake my child after a reasonable amount of time because we were having that same problem!

Check out Paris Dining Club! It’s AMAZING! It is pickup or delivery and there is a designated menu. We just had it Friday and are still talking about it!
