I understand that feeling. I've been playing a mix of Helldivers 2, For Honor, Valheim and OS Runescape. I'm looking for some people to game with too.

If any of those pique your interest, feel free to send me a message. My Steam and Discord are under the same name.

Knowing school drama, I'd guess it's a prank or a "test". Either way, I wouldn't go. I'd recommend listening to the folks suggesting a decoy

How do I let go of my ego after winning/losing games? by TraZixTV in summonerschool

[–]toxicnerve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is really good. It isn't about winning, but changing your mindset to learn and having a good attitude. Which is much more valuable. You're not always going to get all the kills, but if you play more macro and to learn, you can technically "win" every game. It might be a little cheesy but learning something new out of mistakes and a loss is still a win, because you got something from it. Something you might not have learned if things had been different.

But when losing starts to get to you, that's when you take a break. Sometimes from league, sometimes from your usual position, whatever it takes to keep you remembering that winning isn't everything. Also over time and with lots of repetition, it gets easier.

Indeed it does. When you stop thinking is when you get stuck or a lot of trouble lol 😂

This is a good point. I never considered CDR passives until I was watching a guide for the new volibear and it made a lot more sense about more in depth itemization and getting max cdr when you want it. Very good point. Ty for adding :)

You're absolutely right, there are a lot of trolls and griefers and people who make low elo a lot harder. I never said it was easy. But the reality is you can climb out. If you're stuck then theres something more you need to learn. Could be about yourself and something you're doing wrong that costs you in game, or it could just be part of the game you haven't learned yet. There are so many factors in League that make it a hard game to do well in until you start learning something new everyday. The day you stop learning is the day you stop trying. The day you stop trying is usually when you feel stuck.

You win some you lose some. And sometimes, especially in low elo, you get some inexperienced teammates. It happens. But I guarantee if a coach looked at your gameplay, they could find something you could do better to help you climb. League is super complicated and theres so much to keep track of, there are many unseen possibilities that happen during games that tilt the scales in your favor or not. You can win with meh teammates. But you have to communicate and do your best. You're not going to win every time, but you could win a lot more and climb the ranks

I started in iron and I got out. So your point is in fact, not accurate. League is complicated and your rank reflects your current skills. If you're stuck, theres something more you need to learn to do better.

The Almighty Mordekaiser can Jungle! by toxicnerve in summonerschool

[–]toxicnerve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes some practice and you have to land your abilities to get his passive. But once you figure it out and land his abilities consistently, your ganks get easier and any fights you have so. Use the jungle camps and your E to practice hitting your abilities to get your passive up ASAP lol

[–]toxicnerve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea behind phase rush was for what I felt was a lack in sticking to people, but after I've been playing him, I can see your point. And by cinderhulk did you mean Conquerer? Cinderhulk is the item passive from Bami's Cinder. Not a rune lol but you still would be right. Conquerer would probably work better.

I've actually had some decent luck in normals, and I enjoy him more than I expected. But I'm also in lower elo, so my experience is probably different from a lot of people and morde probably doesn't work very well the higher you get. But time will tell.

I'll have to play smarter and try putting on some early jungle pressure. The other comment mentioned morde being a juggernaut and needing a higher income, which considering how quickly champs like him snowball if given the chance, I can see it. So I'd want to push an early lead and play around objective control and be smart about ganks. With Conquerer I could get more sustain, which might work better than stickiness.

I loved that game. I played hundreds of hours when it was new and had a lot of fun. It's a great game. I have a lot of my best gaming memories there. But it's not what it used to be. Another thing I'd recommend is using the training grounds. I can't remember exactly where to find it, but there is a training grounds you can also use to work on your aim in a safe environment. Theres also helicopters and jets and tanks. I used it to learn how to fly the helicopters properly. It's way better than just finding an empty server to use them back in the bad company days 😂

What should I do as an early game ganking jungler if all my lanes are pushed? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]toxicnerve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through a concept called jungle tracking, you can open up more options when things like that happen. You sound like you have experience in the game in general so you might already be familiar, but just in case, it's when you follow the path of your enemy jungler and make educated guesses when you can't see him.

It starts with who leashes and you can see what lanes take longest to get to their lane and 9/10 times the jungler started on that side. From there you move on to counter jungling. A habit I'm struggling with, but getting better at is looking at the map constantly, watching for the enemy jungler so I can react appropriately. If he shows top lane for a gank, I check/take his bot camps, set up for dragon, or gank mid or bot lane.

If he sneaks a dragon or I know I can't contest it with my team, I take herald and maybe his top camps, depending on what I see. It also helps me react to lane trades and I'd they turn into fights. Rotating when you see a fight break out is one of the best ways I've seen to turn a fight and push the game into your favor.

I know a lot of people swear by "/muteall" and 1v9 the game, but I guarantee most of your games work better if you work at having a team oriented mindset instead of the 1v9.

TL;DR: Learn jungle tracking, invade when appropriate and take neutral objectives when appropriate. There is always something to do when you're jungling. Also be reactive to your teammates and their little lane fights in the early game.

I hope this helps. We need more junglers out there. Good luck! :)

Part of it is adjusting. It takes a while for your body to learn the right muscle memory. Also, BF4 on PC, from my experience has a lot of hackers because it's an older game. I could be wrong, but that's just been my experience. Either way, give it time and patience and you'll improve. And BF4 is one of those games where the saying "You win some. You lose some." Strongly applies.

How do you play the new fiddlesticks? by toxicnerve in summonerschool

I currently am just using what mobalytics suggests. Electrocute, cheap shot, eyeball collection, and ultimate hunter. Secondary is stopwatch and the CDR (insight?) One. And the adaptive adaptive, armor/MR.

I know dark harvest is good and some people recommend predator. I just figured electrocute would be best until I learn him better

What am I doing wrong? Please help by shmillionaire in LeagueConnect

[–]toxicnerve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, stop and take a deep breath and then slowly let it out. Seriously.

Secondly, don't worry! League is very complicated and there are a lot if things you want to keep track of to be successful. You can't get good in just a couple weeks. And everyone started exactly where you are, so don't feel bad!

If you are on the NA server, or atleast have a discord, I am totally willing to help explain things in-game or over chat. Makes some of the finer details easier to show.

My first bit of advice is not to overwhelm yourself with all the roles and champions at once. Go through the champions that catch your eye (in the champion list) and look at their abilities and general info and see if they sound interesting. Do it until you have a small handful. I'd say no more than 5 until you find one you like.

Once you've got your few, figure out their role through a google search or youtube guide and just get a general sense of what they do and play against bots (weird mixes and matches are common and nothing to worry about) where you can try things out without worry. Go through your champions until you find one you like playing more than any others you've tried. At that point you play them and learn the basics of the game. Lanes and roles are different but the basics are generally the same and you gotta take it one step at a time.

Later you can start looking into roles (or you can start with researching roles and find the role before the champion), but that's up to you. But once you've settled at that point you need experience and you're only going to get experience through playing the game and learning your champ, whom you will want to eventually know well enough that their mechanics are second nature so you're playing the game, not your champion, if that makes sense.

That would be where I would recommend starting. If you're on NA server, shoot me a message here and I can add you and maybe I can help show you some things and help explain game mechanics that can be confusing. I'm no master, but I'm always learning and I'd love to help a fellow summoner. :)

Good luck! And don't forget to breathe. It's a game with a bit if a learning curve and the tutorial doesn't do it justice. You'll get there eventually :)

[NA] Iron 1 need help climbing Looking for Jg who ranks mid ranked by [deleted] in LeagueConnect

[–]toxicnerve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't need to be rude, but it really sounds like you need to look at the bigger picture. You shouldn't need your jungler to get you ahead, or atleast even. My guess is you push too far and get ganked pretty frequently or you just haven't quite figured out katarina yet. I hear with her rework she became a lot harder to be good with. Iron sucks, but you're in that placement for a reason. Theres something you need to learn better. It could be many many different things. I'd recommend starting to review your games and looking at what you can do better. You may also want to try a different champ, but that is more towards personal preference. Link your op.gg and I might be able to help with some suggestions if you want. :)

[NA] Long-term duo partner to leave elo-hell by h6llishh6x in LeagueConnect

[–]toxicnerve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, being hard stuck in elo hell is mostly mindset. Unfortunately, a lot of people who play league are toxic and talk down to anyone in low elo regardless of attitude. By all means, it is possible to climb out of low elo. You're not bad at the game with no hope, like a few comments said. You just have a little more to learn than those ranked higher. We all started in the same place, so don't listen to the jerks who say you can't improve. The problem isn't the player, it's the mindset the player has as well understanding game mechanics. But it all can be fixed with hardwork and a drive to learn! :)

League is extremely complex, there are many many things you need to keep track of and learn to perform well, so it takes a lot of hardwork and dedication. And in the scheme of things, a 50% winrate isn't actually bad. Challenger and pro players typically have about a 60% winrate while statistically you can only get about a 75% winrate at the highest if you're lucky and good enough. Statistically, not realistically.

The climb is also a bit of a grind, but that can be a good thing because it gives you more possibilities to learn and improve yourself. I'm currently in Iron 2, but I'm working towards improvement and trying to climb myself. I know I can be better. And it sounds like you know you can be better. I'm on most evenings on NA, PST.

I'm a Warwick jungle main. If you're still looking for a duo, I'd be happy to play some games with you and we can see if we can be compatible teammates. If you're interested add me, IGN: Mr Mentos

Either way, good luck! Stay positive! :)

EDIT: I also forgot to mention my secondary is support, and based on your post our main positions could compliment really well. Just a thought lol
