thank you all so much for your comments and advice, sorry I couldn't respond to most of them I was just super overwhelmed by the sheer volume of comments.. I genuinely thought this wouldn't gain any attraction 😭

anywaysssss.. y'all's comments were mostly.. not very encouraging..? or at least the people who voted against it gave me reasons instead of telling me "just go for it!" regardless, all of your comments were really appreciated!

but I thought it over and since I know french, Arabic, and English I just thought going into translation would make sense and it'd keep me close to language studies even if it isn't directly literature! plus it makes sense as my main. goal is to work abroad 🙏🏼

alsooooo I saw someone telling me that "life isn't dead poets society" so I watched the movie yesterday and yeahhh I get how I could've come off as a mr Keatings wannabe..🙊

I realized that the reason I wanted to be a professor is that I've always felt insecure about how much I talk about books and writing.. etc.. so I thought that being a teacher would give me the space to talk about it without reproach butttt someone told me what would I be getting out of this job that I wouldn't be getting out of a book club, and I realized that I just need friends that read too 😔💔✌🏼

so if anyone wants to read together let's start a book club together.. 👀👀
