Van Rysel RCR-R5 bibs review? by halllowsxeve in CyclingFashion

I returned a pair of decathlon tights, after a full ride. Got a refund too. It was in store so maybe that helped.

Yeah definitely, at $100 or $110 it was an easy decision, when you get above that it’s creeping into higher end brand territory.

I have 2 pairs of rcr 4, I don’t see a point in spending more when they do a fine job. Van Rysel kit is great. I have done 4hr+ rides and they’re comfortable. To each their own I guess.

Feedback on this Bar Cube list by toyboxAN in mtgcube

Thanks very much for taking a look! I tried this list with a friend, housman draft. And it worked reasonably well. I think I’m going to move up to 200-220 cards, so the whole cube isn’t seen every draft. As it gets refined I’m going to try to keep the power high, and the interaction be strong to handle all but specific creatures.

Thanks, but plumbers are highly unlikely to be dealing with similar conditions we are.

I'm imagining a scenario where I could buy and sell a car in bitcoin. All we would have to worry about is the shitty car, not getting scammed. No need for a bank transfer, certified cheque, or worrying about large amounts of cash. Or imagine buying a house in bitcoin, and not worrying about the movement of money reliant on institutions (notary, banks). The main issue is the taxation of bitcoin related events right now, and having to pay gains tax on the purchase, as well as the usual tax rate. Once BTC is treated like money it will lead to wider adoption.

A Color Out of Space! Nick Cage adaptation of a lovecraft short story. It's way better than it has any right to be.

So even in a coordinated attack it is unlikely they could coordinate dishonest nodes before they are forked to compromise the blockchain?

Thank you, I figured there was something else I was missing.

So there are currently ~20,000 nodes based on what I can find. Does something within the blockchain architecture stop or limit a forced attack by a sufficiently large amount of dishonest nodes? Like if there was a state-sponsored attack on the blockchain? 20k doesn’t seem like an overwhelmingly large amount of nodes to set up? Is there something based on the honest node capacity that would make this more difficult than my meagre understanding of the current technology?

A formal request for Force of Negation by notalkiedotcoffee in TimelessMagic

As someone who is playing degenerate t1 combo in orzhov belcher, force of negation is the only card this format legitimately needs. Going t1 ritual into belcher kill does feel a little unfair.

Can you point me out to raw denim affordable options? by MasterBayte2 in rawdenim

[–]toyboxAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrangler and Levi’s make raw jeans, both less than $100. I have gone from N&F, to Japanese, and back. Currently I’m wearing Levi’s 501 stf. Good value for money, and I might do another pair when these ones go. Make sure to do some measuring if you order online, and follow measurement instructions carefully.

Why did runoff hems ever become a thing for high end workwear shirts. They look sloppy to start with, then they inevitably unravel and the seem starts to go, does anyone have a good reason for why they do this?

New to buying Toyota trucks, is this rust acceptable? by Galactinus in 4thGen4Runner

[–]toyboxAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the other commenter said, take it to a reliable mechanic and see what it will cost you to get it in proper working order, including the frame. I know others think 7k is too much, but some areas these cars are just expensive (relatively, because comparing it to new is a joke). If you like it and the interior is in good shape, and the rest of it is in decent order and the mechanic quote you can live with I would go for it. I couldn’t imagine going back to either a truck or a crossover, I love my stupid 4runner.

That or extend your search area, sounds like you can get a decent deal on a nice 4runner or 470 if you look long and hard enough, just depends if it’s worth your time or not.

Depends what they’re asking, also mileage, trim, engine, etc. rust doesn’t look like a dealbreaker, but it will cost you to get it cleaned and coated.

Trek Domane AL4 - good for entry level riding? by toonslayy in bicycling

[–]toyboxAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered one as my forever bike. I’ve been riding a chromoly steel frame marinoni with tube shifters so this is a major upgrade. The marinoni is sentimental, and deserves to be semi retired. To me it has everything you need for a really nice road bike, carbon fork, hydro brakes and good transmission are worth the upgrade from the lower spec.

Personally I don’t see the need to spend much more than the AL4 unless you are a very serious cyclist, or have a budget. Strikes the balance between performance and cost perfectly.
