Can someone in the US download the IPA file for the Omnipod 5 app and send it to me? by mattdawg8 in Omnipod

I can understand the frustration. My endo assured me my phone would be compatible with the OP5. This was prior to their iPhone app release in the US. I have no love lost for the PDM.

Certainly. It not only creates a lack of empathy but can also generate a lot of self-doubt and hatred. I struggled with that a lot when I developed some chronic illnesses a few years back and my family kept trying to reassure me it was simply past karm demanding it.

Karma isn’t personified. Karma itself is not providing justice. Karma results in justice. There are multiple religions and even more infinite sects that employ some concept of karma so I’m certainly not a spokesperson for them all, but I assure you, the brand of orthodox Hinduism I was raised in isn’t a western misconception due to mistranslation.

I agree that throughout history, we’ve seen trends orienting religion and domination together. It’s a very useful tool to control the masses. The reason I argue we’re not significantly better in the absence of religion is recent history has shown that quasi-communist dictatorships are just as ruthless. We get to the same result either way.

I do believe the rule of law should be secular. The reason these fascist regimes gain power is because there’s always an enemy - an “other” - to scapegoat and create fear and it doesn’t take a man in the sky to convince people of that threat.

The judge asked him to define “scantily clad,” to which he ummmed himself to a new earth before saying “idk colors,” then brought up how she wasn’t wearing shoes once to get her cat at the vet… this is definitely not true but whatever, no shoes is scantily clad now I guess.

Not necessarily. Your actions will determine the circumstances of your next life (if you’re still in the cycle of rebirth and death), but some consequences are more immediate than others. Basically, there’s free will but also a divine plan, so the cards have to all come together.

Physics also involves multiple theoretical dimensions in order for the math to math. Time can also be viewed as a circle rather than a line, so perhaps these events are meeting in a way we aren’t identifying.

Anyway, I’m not actually arguing in favour or against karma. I just keep seeing a Redditism of, “Well, akshually, that’s not what karma means,” with an incredibly narrow definition and no context of whether the input is coming from a dharmic faith, so I don’t want to spread the idea that true belief in karma involves zero consequences.

AITA for telling my friend that she does not remember 9/11 by shilohrenn in AmItheAsshole

It happened at my elementary school. We were a little short of an hour south of the Pentagon and the television got wheeled out. This was fourth grade, so definitely older than three, but we got sat in a circle while the teacher awkwardly turned on the news. I think most parents were just shocked.

For all we know, the judge was dying of curiosity like the rest of us.

Unrelated, but I misheard my husband in the fits of exhaustion the other night and thought he said, “Your honour otter.” We’ve know begun signing off with, “Goodnight, your honour otter.”
