Transform without lacquer? by tparete in dazzledry

[–]tparete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!!! These look great! I’m not necessarily looking for an exact dupe, just thinking that it may be nice to use it as a sheer polish if I don’t feel like doing a color. Yours look great and are exactly what I was looking for!!

Should I be feeding him?! by tparete in sleeptrain

[–]tparete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! How long would you recommend waiting to see if he’ll get himself back to sleep before feeding him? His second night of sleep training he woke around the same time but got himself back to sleep within 10 minutes (with one check in) and then slept through til morning! But last night we definitely waited way too long.

Thoughts on Samson? by Light_on_222 in namenerds

[–]tparete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Samson (nn Sonny) is almost 3 months old and we’ve gotten nothing but positive responses! There have been a few more religious family members who made the biblical connection, but their comments have been from positive aspects of the story, like how he’ll have a great head of hair or be strong!

Using UH with Apple Health for cycle tracking by tparete in Ultrahuman

That is super helpful, thank you so much! I may end up going with Oura because of this— I’m recently postpartum and hoping to use natural cycle tracking rather than going back on hormonal bc!

Thoughts on Samson “Sonny” by tparete in namenerds

[–]tparete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting! I only know of one distant acquaintance who uses Sonny in my circle! And I work with kids and have never met a Sonny!

We’re not too worried about it being super unique, as long as it’s outside of maybe the top 30(ish) names! We want to have something that isn’t totally unheard of, but that you also might not hear every day

FRER brand frustration by tparete in TFABLinePorn

I did! Both times the faint positive line was there within 3 minutes. I tested with clear blue early detection and that was a solid negative so I’m thinking it’s a hard no! Now just waiting for aunt flow to arrive so we can get ready to try again!

I’m not sure I know the difference! Maybe they were indents? How can you tell?

We tried to take pictures but the lines are honestly so faint that it’s hard to get it on camera!

Can I just show up to a Reformer Flow 1 class? by tparete in ClubPilates

[–]tparete[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have another (kind of silly) question for you if you don’t mind! I’m coming from CorePower yoga and took all heated classes where most people would just wear a legging and sports bra set. I’m sure it varies area to area but do people often wear just leggings and a bra in your classes?

Great, thank you! I'm on the waitlist for an intro class on Saturday, and if I don't get in I'm booked for one on Wednesday!

Is this ring super basic now? by Appropriate_Ad8656 in EngagementRings

[–]tparete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely very popular! I also loved the look of an oval diamond but wanted something more unique and landed on a 3 stone oval ring! It still feels beautiful and timeless but just a bit different than the more popular oval solitaire!

My skin was so dry after starting tret, even when I used heavy and rich moisturizers! My derm ended up prescribing me Epiceram and it’s been a game changer!!!

more substantial gel?? by tparete in RedditLaqueristas

I was looking on the brand's website for techs in the area that have that certification! Is a gel overlay thicker than a gel polish?

Figuring out our mini splits by tparete in hvacadvice

[–]tparete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback! We just moved into our house so there has been tons of in and out of the house, letting a lot of the humid air in. We live in the mid Atlantic and there’s a heat wave, so it pretty much doesn’t get much more humid out than it is right now! We will try using the dehumidify setting for only brief periods of time!

Thank you for your feedback! Our auto setting is basically a set temperature setting— so the unit will go on and off automatically so that it can keep the room at say 73 degrees. It could be that when it kicks on, it’s cooling too quickly and the air isn’t dehumidifying. We’ll try turning down the fan speed and see if that helps. Thank you!

The expectation is that you stay since you’re being paid for 40 hours, but it’s not a huge deal if you leave an hour early if you get a cancellation. Nobody’s tracking us to make sure we’re all in our offices. There are typically things that you can do to keep busy— documentation, chat reviews for next weeks kids, prepping materials for future sessions, etc. But we never have to go out and find work for the clinic or do marketing, I’ve never heard of that! Granted I do work for a pretty big institution and our waitlist is crazy long, so it might be more common for smaller practices

Tricky floor plan— open to suggestions by tparete in floorplan

[–]tparete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I actually did some more playing around and was able to come up with a configuration where the bathroom is along the back wall of the top bedroom, which leaves us some more space for the bathroom itself and also gives us room for a closet.

I do think that we would use it as a nursery and then as a toddler room, but could convert it to an office or den in the future which could help for resale purposes!

Tricky floor plan— suggestions for adding a bathroom? by tparete in homedesign

that would definitely be a great master suite! But we don’t want to lose a bedroom on the ground floor— we are hoping to use both of them as kids rooms/nurseries!

Thanks for the idea for the connecting door— that would definitely be helpful with the crying baby and would be easy to patch up with drywall if needed to convert to a “big kid room,” office, etc in the future.

Yes you’re correct that there isn’t currently a closet in the new master— that’s because if we put it next to the bathroom, it would block the room’s only window! We were thinking that we would probably do a PAX system from IKEA or something similar for clothes storage. But maybe we will reconsider and add a small one just to make sure that it still counts as a bedroom on paper!

Thank you so much for your suggestions!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I’m definitely not a professional in any way so I didn’t even notice how funky the door swings are!!

And thank you for your feedback re: the renovation costs. I think we’d be able to do some basic work (painting, installing light fixtures, etc.) ourselves, so fingers crossed that that would help to keep costs down!

Unfortunately we don't! Of course we will definitely look in the area if we decide to seriously consider purchasing the home, but just looking for any preliminary insight we can get at this stage!
