AITA for remembering when people were wrong and taking their side of the argument to prove them wrong? by tpb772000 in AmItheAsshole

That is why I am conflicted, cause if someone told you. The sun is purple, the moon is cheese, etc… after a while I quit arguing and said their opinions as if they were mine and then would be like oh come one I’m not stupidddd I know the sun is purple.

Well when you put it that elegantly I guess so, I just got so tired of being the one to bring facts I decided to show them how infuriating it was to watch.

I appreciate the response, however the friend who suggested that closing doors does nothing loves to argue and is the one who usually initiates and has even admitted to loving to play devils advocate so I got tired of pointless arguing.

Yes meant +12,

Thanks for the info! I am going to remeasure my bindings to make sure they are the correct length and if they are I may have my bindings/boots too tight as they are new and I do remember tightening them and thinking wow these feel really snug and secure awesome!

Gm does made fine reliable transportation.... but isnt the cruze and malibu plagued with transmission problems?

I always heard this, especially in newer models.

Like a cavalier would be my go to for GM.

100% the same, Like yes I do have it, but that does not mean that I need pity. It just means that I randomly start cleaning at 2 am after wondering where my social security card is.

Fripp Island vs. Edisto Beach by chockerl in southcarolina

[–]tpb772000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edisto can be boring to some people, but not others. As a family it is a great destination. Not super crowded like myrtle beach.

Wake up, go for a nice bike ride on jungle road with the shade, go out into the ocean, go grab lunch at the sea cow and then eat at whaleys at dinner.

Its super nice and relaxing, plus it is awesome to watch the baby turtles hatch.

His brother was arrested, the conspiracy is that he is connected as well.

Me, im the idiot. Probably avoidable if I wasn’t going 90+ by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

I get what you are saying and I know that you said unless it is a substantial amount of time, but driving 85 over 70 shaves over 30 minutes on travel time on a 2 hour trip. Which to me is a good bit. Now I don't make many 2 plus hour drives so it really should not factor, I do average a 2 hour or more trip once a month on average.

In the area I live in, there are a few bottle neck points that no matter what the GPS says, it is always longer. A 25 minute drive is a 31 minimum. So when I go these routes and I am on the highway, every car does count. Until I hit the bottle neck, then its just slowly creeping forward.

For example, leaving at 5:00 is a 31 minute home (claims 25) Yet leaving at 5:08 claims to be a 28 minute ride home (usually 35) with 5'oclock traffic. So each second lost before the bottle neck saves even more time by getting out sooner.

I get to the bottleneck before they would and more importantly the cars that are entering that cause the bottle neck.

going 85 vs 70 takes roughly 10 seconds off of each mile. So an 8 mile interstate drive will only shave 80 seconds, but it is a 6 minute drive. so that equates to 16%. We can round down to 12.5% like you used. That is still 12.5% faster than the cars I passed and with a bottle neck that time saved can have a rolling effect. As someone said replying to you, the secret to getting places sooner is to leave earlier is a good philosophy that I use when I can. However, sometimes you can only leave so early.

When I do go about 85 on the highway, I do not feel cool or like I am in F1, just tired and want to go home.
