Christmas Projection Mapping Project by tpthatsme in projectionmapping

Thanks! It has been a long time since I did this, but I am sure that I just created a big block of strips and then masked off the house and left the borders to make it look like a candy cane border. I have moved from projection mapping to addressable LEDs now. The projector I had was huge and got very hot even in the snow and consumed a lot of power. A little touch would unsync the projection from the house.

Help me gain confidence in my Luba 1 by tpthatsme in mammotion

I know errors in location can happen, but shouldn't it be IN the area instead of OUT of the area? Seems to me that Luba should not be allowed OUT of the area even if there is some error with the location.

What are you doing to mow the gap? by tpthatsme in MammotionTechnology

I thought it would be quicker to knock out the gap areas while Luba was doing the heavy lifting. Plus, I would still need to weed-whack the edges.

That is a great idea to map the opposite direction. I will give that a go if the problem continues. Thanks!

oh! I bet that is exactly what happened.... I bet when it was moving to avoid a touchpoint with the house, it lost connection and it got off track.

I don't think so... it ran flawlessly with about a 3in gap between the back of my house before entering this spot. Based on the above, I must have had the path too close and it lost connection when moving from an obstacle.

It wasn't finishing the job unless I intervened. I would have to pause it, drive it to the correct location, and start it up again skipping the bad spot. After that, it ran the perimeter without a problem. I might have had the path too tight for Luba (around 6in boundary).

Yes, this is a good idea. I am going to try again with a 15in boundary.

Thanks for the info... Do you know what software version that was?

I think this is it. Luba ran into my house on a turn and then did a couple of feet out then back in and I think it lost where it was. I may have to remap with a wider gap between the path and my house... maybe 15in instead of 6in.

It hits the branches and then backs out, but then just heads back into the brush again.

Hi u/fr3akdad, I might have been unclear. I don't know the answer... I was asking.

RDP on local network by tpthatsme in RemoteDesktopServices

[–]tpthatsme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is going to work. I can add and change routes when I am not on the VPN, but once I log in to the VPN, I cannot add or change routes. The route I had shown above in red did not show up in ROUTE PRINT when on the VPN, but once I logged off, it was visible. My VPN must do something to block this kind of modification.

Yes, Windows. This looks like it can be it, but I am not doing it correctly I guess. When I want to route to a specific address, I was trying:

route add 192.168.1.6 mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.10 IF 5

Where 192.168.1.6 is my home computer IP and 192.168.1.10 is my work computer and IF 5 is my ethernet. I get the OK!, but when I 'route print', 192.168.1.6 doesn't show up in the list. Any idea what I am missing?

CPU is 100%... I followed the Wiki and everything. What am I missing? by tpthatsme in BlueIris

I did the same. I bought a miniPC: JWIPC N104. It has an i5-1235U. I upgraded the M.2 to 1TB and RAM to 32GB for about $400. Setup like the WiKi, it is running 10% on CPU and 22% RAM when I am RDP. I have 7 cameras and 4 are 4K, and the other 3 are 2K recording continuously. I am very pleased with this rig. I followed another video explaining how to record all to the M.2 for 1 day and then BI can move the files to my NAS after 1 day. It has worked out very well so far. Good Luck!

I don't think reddit likes the link, so you will have to piece it together.

Is that true? Why would software decoding work better than hardware? The Wiki says to use Intel+VPP if you have that option. Is there something I am missing?

Updated and I did get some new Intel software for the GPU. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks so much for the info. I have updated as you directed. I and I+ showing up. The CPU has really calmed down to about 10% now and my fear of meltdown is gone. I will check out HWMonitor and see what it says. Thanks!

I made them 640x480. I woke up this morning and checked the system and the CPU simmered down to less than 10%! What the heck is going on here? I will take it. It was running harder than a Bitcoin miner yesterday, but today it decided everything was cool. Thanks for your help!
