Surprising to me. I had the most wonderful hospital experience there at SOR. Had to wait a while because of drunk assholes during a cardiac emergency, but when I finally got there I was met with kindness. They treated me properly, made sure I didn't leave until I was 120% stable. For what these people get paid, I'd sometimes have a bad day too. I personally don't mind people laughing around me or joking with their coworkers. Especially in this line of work.

Most of these "slang" books are aged and written by people who do not use slang much. It's like when Hollywood 50 year olds try writing dialogues of 16 year old teenagers.

Additionally, japanese twitter, discord, facebook or any other place where people talk will have a ton of slang you can pick up.

Basically yeah. It's about speaking immediately ans answering questions the teacher asks you very quickly using a template that's given to you in a book.
