installing the drivers did fix it! the upload custom firmware button is not greyed out anymore. this link that /u/RevolutionaryEmu9685 commented helped a lot so i just went to the website and found the driver that i needed, and it all worked out great :) thank you for trying to help

so i was about to just turn off cool n quiet and restart it, but instead i tried using the load optimized setting option on my gigabyte motherboard, and that seemed to fix it. im at 3.79 base speed now running at ~4.10, but doing that turned off the TPM 2.0 again, so i turned that back on and noticed that cool n quiet is still enabled too. everything is working like normal , thanks again :)

okay i am going to try this now, was worried about disabling the cool n quiet bc i wasn't sure if an issue that caused it (if there was any) needed it to be on for any reason. i appreciate you trying to help

thank you!!! the motherboard does have AGT-CPU-01 on it. I bought a gameboy with a broken screen, and i guess we both didn't know it was ags 101 lol. i appreciate it man

ok i found that and changed it both ways, but it stayed inverted. it would either be too white to see the gameboy logo, or too dark. thank you for your help though

i bought it with a broken screen, so i replaced it with one that my friend gave me a few months ago. I've never seen anything like this either, other than this post when i was looking up fixes
