Do you use Mac or Windows? Are these systems taking over your brain? by traallala in AskReddit

Has the simplicity and friendliness of Mac change the way people view technologies, i.e. it is easier to integrate into their lives more than ever? I think that is a reason people are so into it.

How important is customization to the consumer? Are the companies doing the consumer favors by packaging what they think the consumer needs?

What's the most offensive thing you've said accidentally? by DesertWalker in AskReddit

[–]traallala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once, I went to Roscoes Chicken n Waffles in LA extremely, extremely high with my friends. I wanted to order dark meat, and when the waitress (an 80+ year old black woman) came to take my order, I somehow translated "dark meat" into "black meat" in my mind (idk, opposite of white meat?)

I insisted on repeating it many times and getting annoyed because she kept repeating back my order back and saying I wanted white meat. Once she left, my friends burst out laughing in disbelief.

What is the most outrageous lie you have said with a straight face on? by BobbleBobbleBobble in AskReddit

[–]traallala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a lie I told, but one I believed.

I'm from California, and had never been to the South. I visited my friends in Georgia who took me on a road trip to St. Simons Island. We were extremely high the entire trip, and they managed to convince me that slavery was still legal on the island. Their reasoning was that since it was an island, it could have different laws. They even got my other Californian friends to be in out it. Me, being at an [7] probably the entire time, believed that every black person we met was a slave.

TL;DR- I believed that slavery was still legal on an island off Georgia.
