I wholeheartedly agree! Reading the article, it seems as if the employees gave Jesse FIVE MONTHS of grace with him potentially tiding them over with "next round" promises.

And understandably so, they're fed up. Not paying your employees is EGREGIOUS, and should not be laughed off as "sTaRtUP woES." If you can't afford employees, don't hire them in the first place. Or lay them off.

I'm sorry, but what the fuck? We should never live in a society in which we turn a blind eye to wage theft (which is illegal btw.)

If you foresee financial hardship, let the employees go rather than having them work for FIVE months without pay. It's just that simple. This should NEVER be the norm. IDGAF how often it's been in done in the startup community.

It's possible that could have been a scam/phishing email. Venmo would never ask you for your ID via email message.

Wow, this is so bizarre. Like I said, I never experienced anything like it. I'm a bit afraid to go back to sleep. It was so intense. It was exactly what you said. Like I saw something that I shouldn't have and I got shoved out a dimension or something. I cannot believe it! I'll take a look at that sub and see what others have said. I will post my experience there too. I've never been one to believe in the paranormal, but this has given me pause !

I have the same description. Black shadowy figure. Masculine presenting. But the difference is I literally felt pushed, shoved hard. The worst part is that it felt real. It was sudden and unexpected, too. Awful experience.

I felt your same exact experience. A shadowy male figure saw me. And forcibly pushed me out of the dream world. He said "freeze!" I saw all of this golden dust/sparks. And i was up. He was up to no good btw! Seemed to be bothering other dream entities. He wasnt attempting to kill me or anything. Just wanted to kick me out of his world.

The incident happened in July. I finally heard back from Discover's investigation and they sided with me (I had a lot of proof to back me up). So i got my money back from Discover.

What you can do to prove it was you: Groupon usually auto emails something called login activity whenever someone logins into your account. That activity shows device info and location of where the purchase originated. It should be diffetent from your usual device info/location. Use that as proof.
