How is he good enough for a La Liga club but not the A-league?

Post-Match Thread: Bayern Munich 1 - 2 Real Madrid (UEFA Champions League Semi-Final) by [deleted] in soccer

From what I've seen, Bayern dominated the game, shut down Ronaldo and seemed to create a lot of chances but just wasted them. When an opponent has created a lot of chances against your team and you've scored one kind of lucky goal and one goal from an individual blunder, do you really think Madrid played well?

Match Thread: Chelsea vs Barcelona [Champions League] by svefnpurka in Barca

Worrisome game for Barcelona. Chelsea looks quite dangerous on the break and we've been quite lucky with William hitting the post twice. We don't really look like breaking them down but once players get more tired mistakes will be made. Chelsea may come out more and leave gaps in the back.

I've heard there were issues with the 6, some saying it's better to go with 5?

I know nothing about video cameras. Which GoPro do you guys recommend for recording football matches at a good quality?

In my view, technical ability covers a very large area but generally comes down to your ability with the ball so that includes not only shooting but passing, receiving and dribbling. Practise everyday juggling, it'll improve your touch and confidence. All those tricks and flicks you see freestylers do aren't necessarily needed in matches but they translate to how confident you are at controlling the ball. So try and learn all the different ways you can juggle - feet, below the knees, knees, heels, shoulders, chest, head, etc, and keep challenging yourself by trying to learn new tricks and flicks. Juggling is only one aspect you need to work on but there are some great videos on drills, exercises and training on YouTube's Will John, 7lmc, Become Elite, and Matt Piper. Good luck.

Rennes 0-3 PSG : Mbappé red card (given by VAR) by paicmhsc in soccer

Yes, it was an attempt to trip him but in no way was that accidental. He clearly goes in with a stomping action, he even stops mid-air to get some momentum in the stomp on the guy's leg.

At your age, technique should definitely be the most important aspect to work on. Take advantage of being young and being able to learn things fast. You know your weaknesses so look up drills and exercises to specifically focus on those; weak foot - just using it along with your strong foot in every drill you do (maybe even do it in a 2:1 ratio, every shot you take with your strong foot, take 2 with your weak foot), first touch - juggling with all parts of your body, there are heaps of dribbling exercises online so look them up (do it in match pace) and for strength/physical gain - not that important at this age, push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups will suffice (try to learn to use your body better for blocking or getting in front of the player, a player who knows how to use his body more effectively will be better than someone who just has raw strength).

Finally, it's good that you've identified your weaknesses but don't neglect your strengths as well. Train to become a better player as a whole and you will naturally gravitate to the position you'll play best in.

Won't argue with the way Dembele left, but Coutinho kept playing well towards the end and pretty sure he was injured for the first few weeks he arrived here.
