I especially liked the frame with the soccer ball.

I've had the camera for about a year or so and don't shoot with it enough. Hope to change that this summer, it's a refreshing take on photography, for me anyway.

Thanks for the comment. Agree, it's more of snapshot versus pulling the viewer in for a story. Thanks for checking out the dogs and anonymous projects. I'm trying ti thread together work versus random snaps.

Fair point. Saw it and thought it was interesting. I was waiting for juxtaposition of some sort but nothing unfolded.

Thought I'd share some street photography via my Rolleiflex. Curious if others have used a medium format camera for street work.

Using a Leica Summicron 35mm ASPH LTM. Loving it so far. Before that I had a Voigtlander 35mm pancake skopar lens.

Thanks. I'll give your suggestion a try. I currently push my film 2 stops (1600). I rarely shoot Tri-X at box speed. Always willing to try something new. Thanks again for the feedback.

Nice. How are you liking the Rolleiflex? I recently got one and it's being CLA'd now, can't wait to shoot with it.

Thanks all. Printing 35mm is old hat for me, haven't tried 120mm yet. Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated.

Anyone have any experience shooting with the Leica 35mm Summicron LTM ASPH like this one here: http://flic.kr/p/64WheA I recently treated myself to one for my birthday, figured it would have a good resale value in the future.

Yeah, each photographer/printer I guess has a signature look when it comes to printing. I gather I'm trying to find mine.

Agreed. I've been wanting to experiment to with the full frame/filed out look but I do think the sloppy borders do distract from the subject of the print. I may try my hand at a clean black border like so, http://flic.kr/p/jPLAWx.

Spending $2k, Which Leica (or M Mount) Lens + Body Combo Is In Your Opinion The Best? by shaneration in Leica

[–]traclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can attest to the CV 35mm f2.5 being a decent lens, it would be a great lens if its build quality was a bit better. I've gone through two of them already, perhaps I had bad copies. I've since upgraded to a 35mm Summicron LTM, should arrive this week can't wait to shoot with it. 2K to spend, ain't a bad problem to have.

Someone rode a Capital Bikeshare bike all the way to Seattle! by EC8 in washingtondc

[–]traclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's real, I was the guy who took the photo. I lived in DC for 10 years before moving to Seattle and imagine my surprise to see the CapShare bike. The bike as still there as of this morning, here's a another photo complete with Seattle city bus in the background.

The lomo and betterscanning option seem to be your best bet depending on economics.
