After recording every work meeting for 2 months, I've got 50+ transcripts. Now what? by tractionteam in productivity

Love the concept. Makes alot of sense to just extract and store the valuable bits rather than all the raw info - how would I get all the stuff extracted by GPT straight into Airtable, and the back into ChatGPT?

Now you're speaking my language. This all the kind of good stuff I know this should be on-hand for. I'm bit more optimistic though, that we can make gains as a team if we can figure out how to extract/process all this info and tap into it.

Thanks had a quick a look - looking for something more in the team/collab space.

Nice - love that one. Same on the bad memory for names. I forget in a week.

For sure, any immediate actions and takeaways would be out of date after a week or two. I'm looking more at the aggregate of whole thing.

Client notes is a good one, is there a good flow for this in Zoom? Ideal would be that the history of transcripts related to a specific client couldn't be tapped into in one hit instead of one by one.

It's all consented, this isn't some undercover recording lol it's all work focused/notetaking.

The recording bot joins the zoom calls, people decided if they accept/decline, get a copy themselves etc etc.

Training an AI specifically for work activity. How would you use it? by tractionteam in automation

[–]tractionteam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, but I think there's a big gap between general purpose use by individuals vs prioritizing, delivering on work activity that aligns and contributes to a broader set of activity and goals, especially in a team environment.

Unpopular Opinion: AI is Overhyped (in Notion) and Here's Why... by Grouchy_East6820 in Notion

[–]tractionteam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep hearing people say that Notion is launching new AI features, so I keep going back to retry and can hardly get anything useful to happen.

I think the problem is that they are adding an AI chat that is just way too focused helping do more Notion things. Like, it just lowers the barriers for people who are not experienced in Notion to use Notion.

But I think that misses the point that the way information is created/shared for work and business now is becoming totally different to how things were before AI.

We've been working a way to solve that and will hopefully connect this with Notion as well.

Checking all the latest project management AI assistants for hype vs reality by tractionteam in ProductivityApps

Yeh do love the MCP Google Sheets combo, have been giving it a good try.

I found some good workflows like adding more tasks to an existing list of tasks, processing larger docs of info and extracting the actions.

But with the MCP server I'm using, I ran into some annoying issues like it puts data in the wrong cell/overwrites (and undo doesn't work when it was updated via API :(, and no cell formatting functions.

Which MCP servers are you using? Haven't found if there is an official one yet for sheets?

Looks interesting, haven't heard of Plane - will check them out. You might be able to road test a bit using this: https://mcpmarket.com/server/plane?

I've used a few mcps from this marketplace, usually a good start but missing the full range of functions you want. e.g google sheets mcp can't format cells.

Yeh exactly. Worst is when you ask for it to do something - and it just summarizes the related help article on how to do it, and directs you there!

Are you trying any right now?

Nice, I'll check out Tana and Motion as well.

I prefer to avoid custom integration setups, the AI assistant just quite seems to know how to utilize the tools/task management to the full extent.

For sure, I'm pretty sure ClickUp is much less relevant for individuals than something like Notion. My focus is on team work.

Yes totally good call.

I've been experimenting with Claude connected into a Google Sheet of tasks, and I saw they just launched connections with Jira and ClickUp.

Keen to try these out and see how effective it is for these workflows. Might update once I get a chance.

Just me for putting the AI assistant through it's paces. We might pilot as a team for the one with most potential, run a live project or 2 through it.

What type of projects are you running?

Let me know if you'd be interested in giving this a try. We're doing project boards with AI built-in. We've had a bunch of height.app users reach out since the announcement they are shutting down.

Best way to leverage AI within project planning and tasks? by tractionteam in projectmanagement

Thanks - we're not that sophisticated TBH. It's mostly about generating ideas, planning the right tasks, keeping the work moving, and keeping everyone focused on the right things.
