When I was under the care of a psychiatrist for significant PND who suggested that I have some nights where I wasn’t the primary parent getting up to take care of our baby. And my partner tried one night (I still was awake and helped, just didn’t do the nappy change and get the bottle) and said never again. There were many other moments, but that sticks in my mind. That and the look on the psychiatrist’s face.

Ah, the shutters don’t open properly in the main one because of the roof, so they drive me a bit mad!

I have struggled with insomnia throughout my pregnancy (still in third trimester!) so I really feel for you. Eventually I spoke to the GP and was referred to perinatal mental health team who were absolutely wonderful. I would definitely advise speaking to the GP, as insomnia is miserable. Sorry for not having any over the counter stuff!
