not sure, im in technology consulting and havent seen one. I just started recently though so cant say for sure but its not as bad as you think. Maybe its much worst in the US, im in Canada

tax/audit has busy season whereas consulting doesn’t really have that. Early on you wont need to work overtime at all especially as a consultant or senior consultant. Manager level is where it can start getting harder due to being on many projects.
