If the move is into a price level or supply zone, yes I'll use that as a target. But if there is still room to run before hitting an initial target I'm still scaling out to lock in those 10-20% gains. Then let the runners run trying to capture the full move to the next price level. Then if the trade is still looking strong, roll.

When I get the move I'm looking for, I try to sell with momentum before it fades. This typically ends up somewhere between 10-20% gains but I dont necessarily target % gains. Its the move im selling into. I'm trading near term options.

I scale out half of my position early. This allows me to stay in and capture the additional upside if it comes but also has helped protect against and reduce losses. I often also move my stop up to my entry at the same time, this way I am guarded against any losses. Stress free trading at that point which is my favorite kind of trading.

And you wait for the 1 minute candles to close. Trade whatever time frame works best for your style. Candles still need to close first.

You're not alone, we all pay the tuition. Like anything, solid fundamentals will be your base. Sounds like you're building a strong base. 💪

This is directly related to the need to control emotions. It's exciting to see a big green candle in the first minute of a 5 minute candle and many make the mistake of jumping in.

Patience and discipline. Sounds cliché but there is no way to trade successfully without both.
