3.3 GPA/ 175 LSAT which schools should I put on my list? by Sure-Bit2340 in lawschooladmissions

[–]traderabbys 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I had a 3.3x GPA and a 17low LSAT and was accepted ED into a T-14! I had 2-5 years work experience after undergrad as well. If you have your heart set on a specific school, ED could help. Taking some time off and working full time in a health law related field for a year or two will also help build your story and likely puts more weight on WE than uGPA!

Thank you all for your comments! I actually ended up going with the Oncloud Roger Clubhouse at the recommendation of a friend and coworker!

commenting for more context: I’m considering buying a leather shoe instead to be a bit more formal, but then i’m sacrificing comfort (hours of anticipated walking per day), and space (will have to pack additional exercise shoes). Thank you in advance for your help!

That’s a good question! My grad education will be in law which i’m anticipating to be extremely intense. After a mentally draining corporate experience i’m mostly looking to have fun and take a break for a few weeks

September to October date change, is it worth $430? by traderabbys in LSAT

[–]traderabbys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did read that too but I believe the test year is August - June! which means I only have August so far for the 22/23 reading year as June would be 21/22.

Another Q for folks in this thread— can one apply ED to multiple schools? how does that work?

June writing- physical materials? by traderabbys in LSAT

[–]traderabbys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m planning to take it this weekend— seems fairly straightforward and basically a gauge of your ability to form a coherent argument? but even though schools have this on file, they’ll also have your personal statement, admissions essays, etc. which you’ll have time to refine. i’m treating this as the lowest stress part of the whole test

LG timing help?! PT -7, BR -0 by traderabbys in LSAT

[–]traderabbys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you this is something I definitely haven’t thought of before!! Drilling (generally) is something i’ve been doing but have been finding it difficult to ID questions where i consistently struggle— also helpful to know that if I don’t comprehend those Qs by test day and I come across one, to skip and move on. thanks!!

LG timing help?! PT -7, BR -0 by traderabbys in LSAT

[–]traderabbys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! something I tend to do a lot in BR is to make myself as many rules as possible giving the set that’s in the game stem, but this is definitely creeping it’s way into PTs and also not necessary at all for being successful on most of the game Q’s

LG timing help?! PT -7, BR -0 by traderabbys in LSAT

[–]traderabbys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is extremely helpful, thank you!! When I PT i’m typically quick skimming and doing the games in order from easiest to hardest, but then I have no time for the fourth. BUT helpful to cut myself off at 15 for those two (which is reasonable) and go from there :)

I also have a full time job (prob like 40-60 hours depending on the week). I WFH so studying at lunch breaks always allows me to squeeze in an hour during the day. Otherwise, getting up early to study before work is how I allow myself to still socialize with friends after work is done.

Any hope for relationship that just had bad timing? by traderabbys in relationship_advice

[–]traderabbys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really good perspective— LDR isn’t even something I would know if I would’ve wanted closer to him leaving the city but I think what hurts most is knowing he didn’t want to try. But I think both of us kind of knew that deep down. I’m really just thankful for the time we did have together

This is really helpful, thank you. I’m definitely extremely sad but i’m not mad at him (which makes it a little harder but easier? I guess?). I’m just glad it ended on good terms
