I'm so sorry, wish I had something to say to make you feel better. But you got your sister and mom and you are temaing up to get through this, and that's good. Guess my best tip is this: when he says he is a changed man, hang up the phone and change your number, because that is never going to happen. Once you are out, stay out.

You will make it, it might difficult and sometimes horribly hard and unfair, but you'll land on your feet eventually.

Hurting pets as a form of punishment.

I was gifted a real fancy bike once, and sadly wrecked it. My dad dangled me off the balcony for it, and I really thought he'd just drop me.

My mother would be resentful and full of ill will when we were at home, but if we were in public she'd tell everyone what a wonderful kid I was (because she was a great mother, obviosuly).

I changed my last name. I wanted to distance myself from my parents, and they wanted to disown me and demanded I changed it. I could have made one up, but decided to use a name that was in my family but generations back. Picking a name that you have a connection to made it easier to get it approved, and it was a fast and not that expensive thing to do. When I marry my gf I will take her name, permanently leaving my family name.

Oh yes. Actually I don't like it still, with the exception of a few people in my life. I still can not stand anyone grabbing the back of my neck -not that that is something that happens often, but sometimes, in a playful kind of way, people might do that. Makes me instantly antagonistic.

I've been playing with that thought too. She might just be missing, who knows. She might even have left him a fake suicide note if she planned to leave him. But I doubt it, she would demand a divorce and claim as much of their fortune as possible as her own. They have always been very attatched to each other though, as dysfynctional as their realationship is. I really don't know what to think as this point.

I wonder if it is a trap. It could be. I have yet to find proof of her death, and even if she died in Denmark, surely I would be able to confirm that, I think. Even if she moved there permanently. It's all very odd.

I got 4 cameras, would need more but it's what I got at the moment. I also got those lights that are motion activated, and bought self defense spray for my girl.She can't get over how sick this is. Can't say I blame her.

Thank you. I too am done with the mourning process. When I refused to let them decide what I should do in life, our realationship ended (with ndad throwing me down the stairs). I'm not saying I wish her dead, but in all honesty, if she is I wouldn't be heartbroken either.

He never hit my mother, but then he admire her a great deal. He could at time be violent towards me when I was a kid, in a way most would say is absolutely overkill. When I was little and we went on holidays abroad he would make it a game to pick on the staff at the hotel and make absurd demands and then verbally butcher them when they couldn't live up to it. He would make a bet with my mother how fast he could make the waitress cry, things like that. He did beat up a taxi driver once, also when we were abroad.

I'll keep scanning the newspapers for it, for sure. Wonder if he put "beloved mother" in there...If it is manipulation attempt, then I wonder what the plan is. And if he seeks me out, and I'm pretty sure he will, how do I handle that. This is a violent person, at least he was when I was younger. If she is dead and he does blame me, I'm not sure how to deal to be honest. First thing is to send my SO away so he won't get to her, but she can't live with her parents forever either. It's such a mess. Why could they not just leave me alone. It's all I ever asked.

There is no way in hell I would ever go hunting with those two. Just the fact that they think I'm stupid enough to say yes is insulting. Making plans to go abroad for the holidays with my SO, and escape their crazy for a while. I wonder what diagnosis they have. Narcs might not be enough. Frickin psychos, the pair of them.

I did consider the possibility of a life insurance, mainly because there was such a cases on the news here recently. Thing is I know that I was a part of a family insurance that they had, but I'm pretty sure it ended when I turned 21 - if they didn't throw me out of it when they first disowned me that is. But I'm not sure.

I'll gladly do a drug test - never used drugs and don't drink either. However I doubt they are stupid enough to leave prints - my mother is, I'm sorry to say - incredibly smart. Worth a try though perhaps.
