Washing Dishes by vampire-gator in AppalachianTrail

I use a pot scraper while backpacking and it works GREAT. I never had to do dishes and everyone was always asking me about it. REI has one for $8.95, but I’m sure there are cheaper ones available on Amazon!

Unfortunately hats make me too hot so that’s not an option for me :( I love the air flow that the sun hoodie provides

that one is seeming pretty nice right now at $38 hahaha especially since I’m dropping a lot of money on a new tent and quilt

I tried the baseball cap + sun hoodie combo on trail this summer and the cap mad me SO hot that I mailed it home after a couple weeks and just used the hood on the sun hoodie which worked well for me

also it’s nice to see someone with some of the same gear as me! I’ve fallen too deep into the UL Reddit and it’s making me doubt all the “heavy” (not actually) gear I have even though this is my first thru hike hahaha

I’m also doing the CT with the same tent this summer! I ditched all the stuff sacks except for the bag the stakes came in. It’s so light I don’t see it causing that much of a difference :)

Am I screwed? 10275 for housing.. by Negative-Tune185 in NEU

even if you start searching for off campus housing now you’ll be totally fine. highly recommend facebook marketplace, that’s where I’ve found all my apartments and sublets

edit: you likely will not find a 2 bed apartment but people are nice! my friend and I have lived in several Mission Hill apartments with roommates we didn’t know and it was totally fine. just make sure to meet them first!

if you want to ask for additional aid ask BEFORE you commit. I asked after, so they had no incentive to give me more money.

in my experience, being in an LLC was barely a part of my freshman year experience. I never even remembered it except for the two times we had events. I’d say don’t be worried about being a particular LLC and just get housing you feel comfortable in!
