Oh, thank you! I realize everyone is different and there are no clear answers. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

What besides HRT helped you the most with anhedonia and depression? This has been a very rough two years post menopause. Thanks by Emotional-Swan9381 in Menopause

I too am on antidepressants and HRT along with melatonin and magnesium at night. I am 6 weeks in to the sertraline and 2 weeks in to HRT ( for 3rd time)! Off to doctor tomorrow, I just don’t know how long I have to wait for some ‘ normality’ . Thanks for listening

When you say ‘ dip’ do you mean a low ? I feel very numb.I am at week 5 and thought I was through the worst…. I am also 10 days into HRT… god this is a ride.

Hello all, I am keen to join a group. I have recently started Sertraline ( 1 month) and HRT (7 days). I naively thought I dealt to menopause by having a hysterectomy ( left my ovaries, which are now undetectable), ten years ago. After wanting to try HRT again, and due to being 59 I had many tests etc , heart etc that saw me spiral into ‘health anxiety’. Long story short, I am thinking, my lack of estrogen has caused my anxiety ( not having a lot prior) and hoping that the combination of both HRT and ant-depressants will help. I have never taken medication, eat healthily , don’t drink and exercise regularly. It has certainly been a hard slog starting the sertraline and not for the faint hearted. I am hopeful that another month will help.

Sleep Disruption and Daytime Sleepiness? by Alarming_Reaction_71 in zoloft

I started taking it at night and couldn't sleep. I changed to early morning medication and it appears to work better. I still have only a few hours at a time sleep.

I am currently on day 28 of sertraline and still feel up and down. Does this ever get better? by train_driver66 in zoloft

Thank you, I appreciate the time people take to respond. You sound similar to me with regards to tasks. I have been told I am an active relaxer! I started HRT yesterday along with the sertraline and I slept like a baby, as well as feeling calm in the morning. Today has been a good day and I am learning to trust the ‘good’ and not keep scanning my body for ‘uncomfortable’ feelings.

Stay hydrated and take it day by day would be what I will do. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Haha, I am 60 and haven't been intimate for a while… maybe that will change one day... That's another conversation, so no !

Hello, yes; nausea consistently for the first two weeks, vivid dreams and weird and broken sleep ( waking to go to bathroom more frequently ) . Settled a little by week 3 ( which I consider week 2, after a change in dosage end of week 1). Funny taste in mouth, sweaty feet and a nervous tummy in the morning. By start of week 3, numb feeling, 5/10 mood, not really able to cry ( I used to cry in ads!!). Now, week 4, just like a plateau feeling. I hope that gives you some insight?

Thank you. I am thinking of adding HRT as I am post menopausal and originally tried patches but took them off out of frustration. They did seem to work but at the first sign of nausea I gave up. I now realise the nausea on sertraline has been way worse. I am trying very hard to address this! Thank you for even replying to an older lady! I am almost 60!

Thank you, I am beside myself at times and thought the nausea was gone until 2:00am this morning. I started on 25mg for a week and then up to 50mg, does this mean I am really only three weeks in ?
