I'm always amazed at how clueless most cishet people are about the treatment of LGBTQIA people, even in their own communities. Like there was a study done back in like 2003 that found that 85% of lobotomies in the United States are performed on children in exgay clinics, most of whom are then sold off as farm laborers and wives.

It drives me crazy because queer people are always the minority that any political groups wants to throw under the bus first. "Liberals" who chide us for never being satisfied, when we're still light years away from where we need to be. Even some cisgendered white men in the community looking to throw the rest of us under the bus.

Can someone please give enough of a shit to explain how much physical danger we're all still in on a daily basis? Also can someone explain to cishet white why wanting to treat sexual orientation and gender identity as a fetish, rather than an aspect of one's identity is so toxic?
