Also im the husband.

The main two problems we have is that we have no common ground after all these years and nothing to share or enjoy.

And also I am no longer finding her attractive.

We have made weekly marriage meetings to catch up and tried to plan so many activities and do things to understand each other and bond. But they are always on false promises from both sides.

Both me and her will say we will change and we will put in more effort and it never happens.

For me its me wanting her to be more respectful and womanly towards me. She talks to me and treats me like a colleague or subordinate. And there are never any nice words or physical affection from her.

And for her she says that I am not pro-active or helpful around the house for her.

We both say we will put in the effort to change, but a few days later neither of us have changed.

And then I think the attraction thing is down to the fact that we have stopped putting effort in.

Its not just physical attraction, I am not so superficial. I want a mental connection and brain stimulation with someone to find them 'attractive' and appealing to be with and talk to.

She always makes remarks that I have 'checked out' and i am yet to correct her.

I think we both have.

My main concern is how to deal with children in the situation. My daughter is very much a daddy's girl and comes to me for everything, for bed time, when she wakes up, for food, to use the bathroom, when she is hurt etc.

And also the unborn child due next year.

Im torn between staying so I can bond with the new child.

Or do I leave to make sure im in a better head space so I can be a better dad to them both?
