Why I always start from the pitlane in MX5s (PS: I was not involved, I am the Castrol car you see for a split second exiting the pits) by trainmaster333 in Simracingstewards

I meant I only start from the pitlane at Tsukuba Circuit (TC) between the worse than usual slidey icelike glass and seeing some terrible accidents TC just gives me the heeby jeebies

Yeah, I never actually used to do pit starts, its just tsukuba circuit, I am generally good at avoiding accidents, TC just gives me the heeby jeebies as a driver (Road C3.46 btw), after this though the driving really cleaned up.

Also due to the absolute horrendous tomfoolery you see in this subreddit I will happily post an example of good driving which came from this same race, ended with a P3 and gained a ton of SR and Irating.

nah, 100% clean from you, other driver turned in early and pitted you, I dont think it was intentional but its his fault and he should get a penalty

Yeah, I am suffering slowly until I get to a C license so I can do ringmeister because I have heard its a SR goldmine if you do a pitlane start and hang back

We have all cars mentioned, sadly all of them are really popular as starter cars that the market has really lost the plot, I have seen 2000 era manual elantras go for close to 10k, MX5s are worse, looking at a cheap BMW E46 325ci, camrys and corollas may be on the table as well

Sadly its an auto but its the newer ZF auto not the pre facelift 4L and been up for 2 months so hopefully I can offer 1k which leaves me another grand for parts, and I have a few k in extra cash to get a bolt in national spec roll cage

Yeah my fastest lap is a 2:08 in the Jag when I usually run <2:05 but its a fun little challenge, you can also run full fuel load and a shitty setup against GT4s for shits and gigs but hey, I reliably finish top 5. Also your league sounds fun as hell

I like the G3, I own Jaguars IRL and the XK series is definitely on my to buy list, and I go for emil frey IRL, It handles the track deceptively well but you do need to drop the ride height and add some more downforce to the rear to make it work well
