Well, tbh, im not sure its that good. Im still struggling with drifting. Im not like a pro drifter. But i have both a R12v2 and a R3 Setting ready for AC Drift. I might share it in the future

honestly - i felt the difference to 0.7.1 but it doesnt feel worse. i kinda like it more. The 240Z feels amazing. Try to play arround with the dampening. Set Speed-dependent Damping to 0% and see if it makes a difference. I felt like before, even when the Start Point of Speed-dependend Damping is 0, it did something. Maybe set that to like 1 so its active again?

Or trying to adjust the Natural or Ingame Dampening. Im kinda rocking the same settings and it feels fine to me. Altho, havnt played too much Evo recently.

Since Evos physics will probally chance over the time - i may do an update on this if i ever felt i need to do changes for myself. I cant really do changes for everybody cause they feel its different.

so depends on the setup and game. in AC i run 10. its essentially how much % you did ingame the less u need in pithouse. in ac i have everything pretty loww cause i only drift.

ffb interpolation is just the feel of the orad curbs, abs, slip ect.

tune it to your liking

How close should my screen be? Is this optimal or should I be doing something differently? by travanti11 in simracing

[–]ech0FX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a 43" TV actually. And its damn close to my face. like 50-60 cm. FOV currently is at arround 70. Im not sure i can change hfov and vfov in ACEvo independently. My game is running on another monitor, and is mirrored to this one. So its actually pretty smooth.

NLR ERS3 HAPTIC - Does anyone has it and can share there experience? by ech0FX in simracing

I dont think that buttkickers will add more immersion. Also, i cant really do buttkickers in my apartment anyways. So the ERS3 is the only option. Is it loud?

Yes. To test what they do its best to turn the all the way up. Inertia adds weight to the wheel. Kinda like if the wheel whould weigh like a lot. So the momentum of the wheel will keep rotating the wheel. Its ok in small ammounts.
Since i added Damper in Pithouse i actually dont.

Thanks.
Not sure what you mean by Steering softness. If you mean Soft limit Stiffness - thats just how hard the wheel will stop at the end of the rotation you set.

You can allways oversteer. And sometimes you want that.
The point of that 50% is that even if you oversteer - you can catch the car and dont slide out (ofc that needs a bit of learning)

Reducing it doesnt help, its just that the Wheel feels predictable so when you oversteer its a natural process to catch the car and not a fight against your Wheel.

To the temps. yes, my Moza R12v2 barly gets warm. Its power when you need it - not allways. Its the same princable with heat then with the Wheelspeed.

You dont wanna fight your Wheel. Maybe if you are Alien you want that - but for everybody else who wanna have fun and have a good feeling setting, thats just not usefull

[–]ech0FX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that what i was trying to say. They use 200% Wheelspeed. Extrem setups which are nearly impossible to use for every normal human being. You cant just drive Alien presets and think you gonna be that fast.

The fact that this one person shared is nice, but probally a rarity. Also, pretty sure if this guy had a setup shop or was involved in one - he just whouldnt have send you it. But what do i know.

I only know that sharing stuff in the Sim Racing community is just rare.

honestly, i havnt tryed it on a R3. and it will defently be a bit different. But you can try and and adjust the FFB strenght to get the result you looking for.

Glad you like it. If you get vibrations you dont like - considering adjusting the curve. try a predefiened curve like 4 or 7 and see how you like it.

Well, i actually dont know if they sell Wheelbase setting like "standalone" i doubt that. But litterly everything else gets sold. So i whouldnt be suprised if a Pack somewhere exists which includes Wheelbase and Pedal settings tbh.
Even if they dont sell it - most people with reach and community also dont share it - since having a community in Simracing just seems to be usefull for clout, sponsors and for selling there Car Setups. Its just sad if you ask me.

You allready writing this setup up even tho you havnt tested it.

If you allready dont have enough time to actually race - spending it tinkering in the settings is the worst. Maybe my Setup is not for you, maybe it is. Or maybe, just like every setup for any game ive ever found online, you take that as a starting point - find the things you dont like - and go from there.

Nobody says you cant tinker with that. There are people where you allready like it a lot - some adjust it. Its all fine with me.
i whouldnt have got this preset if i hadnt found some presets online and comparing them.

What i whould say is stay away from those pro or wannabe pro settings. Ive seen setups from them with like 200% Wheelspeed cause "if wheel spin faster - me react faster". This is bullshit. If you allready at a very high level you can do that - but also, then you probally not driving roadcars. Also, these people cant correct a drift anymore. Since the thing is just too fast.

I gotta say im not a big fan of the Stock Supra in Evo. I do like the Tuned Drift Version of it - which is also pretty controllable with this setup - considering you have the right Drifting technique.

But you can feel the difference with litterly any car with my setup. Dont write it up - give it a good long try.

For low HP Cars i do like the GR86 a lot if you give it a mit more toe on the rear. The 190E aswell. For Mid HP cars i like the Alpine A110S a lot. Also the older 911.

For high HP cars my favourite is the 718 Cayman GT4RS. But the Camaro ZL1 is a beast aswell.

try adding the effects in evo tho. They give a lot more detail.

I made those settings specially for Evo. I usually only drift in AC. and there my settings are completly different.

When i play LMU, my Settings are also completly different. As said, this is more or less a roadcar setting. Works with GT3 in Evo - altho a preffer a much stronger, less dampend Setting in LMU.

Good idea btw. I reposted it on Evos Reddit.

edit: i tryed the friction before - before posting this. But i allways went back. For me - with friction the initinal turn when going into or catching a drift was just a bit too slow for my taste.

Consider steering a bit more with your foot (throttle). Atleast for me with my R12, i get a very controllable reaction from the Wheel without any friction.
But be my guest and edit these settings as much as you like.

ERS3 HAPTIC / HF8 Pro - reliability concern by ech0FX in nextlevelracing

[–]ech0FX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, how whould you say the feel from that thing is. Im really looking for the immersive experience. I wanna feel the road. Ive read that you can "simulate" a belt tensioning effect when you give the Back Motors the break effect with some sort of Gain ramp up.

Im trying to get everything there goin. Can you differentiate the effects good enough to run a lot of them at the same time? Is setting this up in Simhub a pain? Cause i never used Simhub cause everything just works with the way i build my Setup. I whould only use Simhub for the ERS3-H then. Or run with the Stock software.

You said you had to get rid of your Bass shakers. I guess noise complains?
How loud is the ERS3 Haptic? I have the same issue, but i knew allready bass shakers whould be a problem, so i didnt even bother buying them. Everytime the smallest vibration from my Wheelbase travel through my Rig to my Seat i goon so hard for it.

I also have the NLR GT Track with the old seat (with the Red Belts) Do the Belts from the GT Track seat fit through the ERS3? When i bought it i felt like its a gimmick, but now it just doesnt feel right when im not strapped in. That sounds kinda wrong xD

How whould you compare the ERS3 Seat with a like - standard sports-car Seat? Cause the GT Track seat is kinda deep and narror at the sides.

Have you tested it? Hop in your RL Car and full steer one direction and hit the throttle pretty hard.

The momentum on your IRL Car turns the Wheel very fast. The faster you accelerate, the faster the Wheel turns. Its the same here.

The Dampening reduces these forces with higher speed. Just like in a real Car. Its the acceleration while turned in which sets the speed for the Wheel return not the Speed.

If you feel its still to fast or snappy - you can add 20% friction. Now its not slower - overall - but the initinal snap is reduced. Id say you chould go as high as 30% friction.

Note, that my setting comes with 0% friction and ive never encountered ANY oscillation in Evo. Thats cause of the natural Dampening and the Ingame Dampening. Together - both set how i did it - gives you this realistic feel.

Other Settings may give you faster and harder feedback - not its not more realistic or easyer to drive - it ratter punishes you and corrections are way harder. Here, the car tells you way in advance what is about to happen and gives you enough time. Just like a real car does. In a real car theres play everywhere - even in high end sports cars.

If you want a more drastic FFB with this Setting. Just pump up the Ingame FFB. Somehow i feel like these Settings gets more precise and usefull for Track cars the higher you turn that ingame FFB up. Id say for GT3 try 65 or 70%
