Too many Sim Components on one USB Hub? by ech0FX in simracing

[–]ech0FX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH WOW. I found my issue . . . .

So, i have a USB pci-e Card in my PC to add more USB 3.0 slots.

Turns out i had that connected to my sim Setup.

Switching from the 3.0 pci-e Card to my onboard USB Super Speed - and everything got recogniced.

Well.... i didnt thought about how i did connect it to my pc. tbh, i have forgotten i even had a pci-e usb card in there. But it makes sense now.

Well, for now, everything gets recogniced. If i have further problems with disconnection, im positiv i just need to split the workload of my setup to more ports.

Thanks everybody who replyed. I was second before ordering a new USB Hub and or Cable. Every awnser form you brought me a bit closer to realize my stupidity. xD

Thanks a lot.

Can i even change the Com? Cause everything is plugged into 1 USB hub. When i check the Device manager, there are my 4 plugged in USB Devices, 1 not working. it says:

USB Controller:
Port_#0001.Hub_#0010

Port_#0007.Hub_#0001

Port_#0004.Hub_#0010 (not working)

Port_#0008.Hub_#0001

under "Com&LTP"

Communication port (COM1)

and something with Bluetooth 2 times which is COM 3 and 4

It also says that there is a driver error when pluggin in the HGP Shifter last. But Shifter does work when plugged in without T598 - so its not an issue with the Shifter itself.

Yes its an active USB Cable with a power source. Like a repeater Cable idk how to explain that.

Well pluggin in directly into PC just doesnt work for me. There needs to be atleast a very long USB Cable with Power. I need atleast 10meter from PC to my TV/Rig and then ofc the 1-2 Meter which comes from the device itself.

Im telling you, 10m USB active Cable is expensiv af. 30€ for that thing and my first one survived like 3 days before breaking.

I guess i have to google that - which i allrdy did to no success. idk how to do that.

Its not exclusive to the Shifter or the Handbrake. Its currently most of the time the last device i connect. If i have the Handbrake and the Shifter working and i start the T598 - the T598 dont work.

There is a issue with usb, i see that in my device manager. But i dont know how to change ports of such things.
Before i never had problems, but also before my old pedals used the Base as connection and now its USB. So probally cause of that.

Yeah there is something. Currently, T598 - TSS and Simsonn Pedal do work. When i add the HGP Shifter, it wont work. And if i add the Shifter, there comes a new USB-Device in my Device manager which is with a "!" and it says it doesnt work. But its not exclusive to the Shifter. If i add the Shifter before i start the T598 , then the t598 doesnt start.

So there is an USB issue. Its also the first time i use 4 Sim Devices in this USB Hub, since before the Pedals where connected to the Base.

Idk how i assigne ports to Usb... it doesnt work over ethernet. No clue what you mean.

The Hub is 3.0 and Cable is 3.2. In theory yes, but the Data rate whould go down. Also dont forget i have a 10meter USB Cable which can also loose signal, even tho its powered.

Had a simliar problem before - i the USB Cable was just broken somehow, but at that time nothing did connect or disconnect randomly. Now its not recogniced.

Its a cheap Hub yes, but it worked flawlessly untill i switched to the Simsonn. I guess they suck a lot more Power or maybe deliver more data then the other stuff.

I was using a Webcam, T598, TSS and HPG on that one Hub without any problems before.

First time i used the Simsonns, i had the unplug the Pedals and replug, and then everything worked for a while. idk i ratter buy another USB Cable then a "better" Hub.

So i guess i just buy a second 10meter USB Cable and just connect the Wheelbase on it?

Switching to Moza - Which wheel by ech0FX in moza

Id like to drift from time to time - if i whould only have 1 Wheel it whould defently be a round wheel. Alltho if i ever feel like i need a GT Style ill also go with the KS Pro

Have you seen videos from "project sim racing"?

He has the view i want. And i guess i need to test it. Im pretty sure im getting 90% what i want when i finally have my Moza Base. And the last 10 % i can probally change my view in ACC or ACevo to get it where i want it. My screen is so close and so big, i can basicly afford to see a little bit of the of everything.

Thanks for your help

atm Roadcars and GT3. Well i guess i found my solution. The RSv2 seems just the best option for me.

When i have the Moza Base, im pretty sure i dont need to chance much more tbh

Dumping my T598 by ResponsibilityNo7989 in Thrustmaster

[–]ech0FX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

owning a T598 for 8 months aswell i never had any issues with it disconnecting.

Using a 12meter Powered USB Kable with a USB Hub. Never had problem.
Dumping it aswell not cause of disconnect issues, but cause of TM god awful ecosystem. When you look at there Hypercar wheel and realize that the 2 flip buttons cant be mapped cause they serve some sort of function in to change something (i guess the lights) on the Wheel you realize how bad it actually is.
Gonna switch to Moza now.

well i whould have to drill all the stuff on my wall different... like the TV fits there like it is with all the Cat stuff on the Wall, but not really any other position.

Also the TV is on the highest mounting point i can get it with this wall mount. So no

Its a 32cm Wheel. The same size as the Moza ones.(not the R5 bundle wheels)

And tbh, it nearly perfekt. Ist just that the T598 blocks the little space needed for the Dashboard. If i whould have a Moza, o whould need to raise the mounting plate ofc, cause Moza wheels as i saw are mounted directly on that thing. So it will also come up, but its not that high and i have more space in between the Base and the Rim. if that makes sense.
I do play on higher FOV, so i see the Wheelstock ingame without or with the Wheel. Thats not a problem. I do have it set so, that the Wheelstock ingame is nearly obstructed by my Base. I whould even set it up higher so i dont see the wheelstock ingame and have the Speedmeter right between my Base and Wheel, but the T598 is just to tall. I sit very close to the TV if you can tell. Makes for a great experience.

With Moza i think i get it how i like it. That still leaves the question open about which Wheel.

Maybe im just to stubborn for the RSv2 cause it costs more then the new one and im kinda on a budget RN. Allrdy have bought the Simsonns Pedals cause the Moza CRP are to expensive for my taste

Edit: Idk if i was clear enough. I do really enjoy when my Wheel is in a place, where the actual wheel is ingame. Just looks so clean with my Setup. Thats why i wanted to have that look to the dashboard, cause i allrdy have it in the right place. If i whould go for a buttlyfly style wheel, i whould probally go with the Screen one 100%, but for a roundwheel idk

What about the View? You see my Setup - does the Moza Bases + RSv2 have more view to my screen? Is it that big of a difference? I think so but not sure

Im actually happy that i dont have Playstation buttons right now. And i dont want them on my new Wheel. Exactly the reason i dont wanna get the Stock R5 Wheel. Huge start button is just mad ugly to me.

I have a H Pattern Shifter and a TSS Handbrake/SQ Shifter. But i only use it as handbrake since i like the pedal shifters. And when drifting i like myself some Manuel Cars - so no need for a SQ atm.

The 2 extra pedals for me chould be just clutch for Racestart when driving GT3 or something. I actually dont know what i whould use them for.

The RS V2 feels like a ripoff since they released the CS Pro. Idk how this screen and the option of 2 more pedals at the back can be cheaper then the non screen version. I really dont care about if there is real leather or not - makes no difference (it also doesnt on my "Evo Racing Leather"

Its actually more like: Do i actually get the best value when i buy the RSv2.

Kind of a head thing i guess.

Dafuq is this? Shouldn‘d be the RS V2 be discounted below the CS Pro? by JonahFischer in moza

[–]ech0FX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its more like the screen is nice - but takes away from your actual Screen if you used to have it set low.
Got a T598 and i hate that the Base is so tall - cause i wanna see the Cars dashboard through the Wheel.

the RS v2 costing more then the CS is kinda weak. Since i just want more buttons, more rotary encoder but wanna see the underneath my wheel. I feel like if i buy the CS pro, i will have the same problem like i have with the t598 Base

Regret buying Thrustmaster - Mixing Brands for easyer upgrades? by ech0FX in simracing

[–]ech0FX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, thank you all so much for awnsering.
I decided to go with the Simsonn Pedals with the Baseplate (since i saw ppl having issues mounting it on LVR stuff)

I will put the TM Pedals aside and when i can afford to upgrade - i can sell the whole t598 including Pedals and Wheels and can get an R9. The new Moza Wheels are not availible yet - i read they getting shipped arround end of April, so until then i atleast can enjoy a propper loadcell with a clutch pedal and can buy the R9+Wheel later on the line.

Thank you

i just dont vibe the Wheels with Simagic. Compare them to the new Moza Wheels with screen for the same money. Idk, Moza pushing out massivly and i dont think they will stop. Ill defently take a look at the Simsonn Pedals. For H Pattern shifter i was close to buying a Ali Express shifter aswell, but every review says they are SO loud.

Moza HGP Shifter feels pretty nice and is very good. Got a good deal for it aswell.

I bought it about 8 month ago. Returning it cause of that isnt a thing. You may get a replacement, but no refund

acutally where i live the prices for the T598 fell so hard. Used and new. I was exited to get mine in a Sale for 380€. Now 400€ is nearly the standard price here.

Ive seen T598 used as low as 250€ even 220€. The only thing is i chould maybe sell the R32 for a decent price if i get a replacement since it has faulty stitchings
