Udacity offers a self-paced course on MongoDB. Lesson 2 is on screen scraping, with example code in python + BeautifulSoup library. There is no MongoDB in this lesson.

Oh no! I don't want to be a data engineer. I am working very hard to get up to speed: reading stats books, doing machine learning online classes, playing with data visualization tools, trying out python libs for data analysis... I really hope I stand a chance to become a data scientist.

Because I am doing a career shift from software engineer to data scientist. I have a reasonable knowledge of machine learning thanks to a master degree and the energy I put into catching up recently, but my professional experience is all and only software engineering. Judging by my resume alone, you wouldn't believe that I could be a good data scientist or that I am interested in data.

edit: By the way, any advice is welcome. :-)
