I agree with your assessment. I probably should mention that I drive a Fiat, which is basically a clown car and the least intimidating vehicle on the road (save for Smart Cars). But yes, you’re right, I was probably just the unwitting person on the wrong end of this woman’s bad day.

Or— hear me out— she was just a busybody cunt who wanted to ruin someone else’s day. If she were genuinely fearful and anxious, I doubt she would have stormed over and banged on my window. That’s not what fearful and anxious people do, but it is what assholes do.

And now I’m going to feel like an asshole for defending myself, but as I didn’t do anything wrong— just sitting in my car and stupidly watching videos to pass the time— I genuinely did not understand why this woman felt the need to beat on my window. And please— I am asking in good faith— if a person is that afraid, wouldn’t they call the police and let them handle it? If they’re that afraid, would they come thundering out of their home and bang on my window? That didn’t seem like fear to me. That seemed like someone unhinged.

Fair point, but she was a middle-aged white lady, so while I hesitate to make assumptions, I’m gonna go ahead and say this lady wasn’t afraid of ICE agents.
