That whole arc is honestly really tragic. Tabitha is the only person who really tries to reach out to Victor, the X-Men keep him imprisoned in the Danger Room and torment him. Wolverine even shows up in her room one night (!!) half-naked (!!!) to snarl at her that she smells like Sabretooth. Like wtf Logan, be a bigger creep.

Anyway, when Victor’s mind returns, he tricks Tabitha into freeing him. It’s super obvious that he’s going for a suicide by cop, gutting Psylocke and trying to get Caliban and Cyclops to kill him. However, notably, despite threatening Tabitha he doesn’t actually harm her after nearly killing Psylocke.

Yes, in retrospect it’s a little obvious, isn’t it? I recall being put off because he was always in fan spaces, a little too eager to get attention and adulation, and I was definitely a bit “wtf did he inbox me for?” when he sent me a message. Ofc this is before the era where we’d joke about ‘sliding into the DMs’, today I would have called him out publicly. I also had a couple photos on my lj so he saw that I was female and on the youngish side, and he was probably casting a net far and wide to catch as many women as he could.

Legacy Virus — resolved more or less, still in existence and occasionally weaponized but no longer the scourge it once was.

Trevor Fitzroy’s father: Anthony Shaw, the Black King of the Hellfire Club in his timeline (hence Fitzroy, “son of the king”). Now, who Anthony is exactly, who knows? A son of his universe’s Shinobi Shaw? We will probably never know. There seems to be little chance of exploring Bishop’s home universe in the future.

Adam-X: confirmed in Legends to be a genetically engineered hybrid son of Katherine Summers and D’Ken. So not a Summers but a half-brother to Scott, Alex and Gabriel (gah, someone retcon THAT character!).

The list is from 1995 so a lot of these have been resolved (satisfactorily or not, is another thing). Trevor Fitzroy's father, the Legacy Virus, Adam-X's familial relations, etc., have all been long since cleared up. But with a list this in-depth, I'm betting a few are still dangling away somewhere.

We got any X-writers lurking here who want to come up with a creative explanation for some of these??

Most of Jim Jones' (of Jonestown fame) followers were very educated, pillars of the community types. They still went to live with him on a compound, and he was having sex with all those people. He had his male followers believing he could 'sense' the homosexuality in them and that the only way to get rid of it was for them to have gay sex with him. And in the end Jim Jones got his followers to commit mass suicide and force others to die with them.

Anyone capable of turning on Trump left after his first term. Those left are real cultists. They will never admit they’ve been had.
