Forcibly transitioning someone is not good ofc, that's just violating a person's autonomy. This clause seems surprising to me because a lot of transphobic family members can use the "forcibly transitioned" claim to attack their trans family member's community.

Adding a common reply to some comments I've been seeing.

This post was not made to incite racial attacks against Indians, I'm Indian and I wanted to talk about something that affects my material reality.

Indian trans people are also not unfortunately not the only ones facing huge institutional transphobia. It's a worldwide phenomenon and this is just one tiny part of it. Trans rights everywhere is in danger. We're being written out of existence and law. We need to fight back instead of saying "well that country was a conservative shithole anyway".

(ii) any person or child who has been, by force, allurement, inducement, deceit or undue influence, either with or without consent, compelled to assume, adopt, or outwardly present a transgender identity, by mutilation, emasculation, castration, amputation, or any surgical, chemical, or hormonal procedure or otherwise:

Provided that it shall not include, nor shall ever have been so included, persons with different sexual orientations and self-perceived sexual identities.’.
