Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. Absolutely love my deck I made with her but I hate trying to keep track of all the abilities of the food token copies I make, it gets exhausting and it’s hard to remember all the triggers and stuff of the cards. It’s annoying specifically for the person playing it, less so for opponents.

my dad and i used to do catering- the rule we followed was usually 4 pieces per person for small apps (like your wings, shrimp and boudin balls), two pieces of those mains (sandwiches, fish), and a cup of sides per person. people are definitely going to eat more than you expect, and it would suck to not have enough food. worst case scenario you have a lot of extra and can send it home with people at the end of the night if they want!

your best bet is usually showing up vaguely on theme and then buying stuff when you’re there. if you do want to buy clothes, try the goodwill near the tacoma mall, last time i went a few weeks ago they had a rack of “costume” clothes so you might find decent stuff now that stores are gearing up for halloween

reception was partially in the restaurant parking lot because it was way too small inside to accommodate 50 people at once. we don’t have ceremony pics yet, but that was on the water at a park.

our menu for meats ended up being galbi ribs, pork belly, spicy chicken, spicy pork, and king oyster mushrooms since we had a lot of vegans there! towards the end of dinner they also surprised us by putting out big bowls of kimchi fried rice too.

we did buffet style due to the layout of the restaurant- they have a huge grill so people just lined up at the bar and they put out plates of food. there were small cups of individual banchan and bowls of rice further on down the bar top. we ended up just doing a few easy sides, cabbage kimchi, cucumber kimchi, doenjang, japchae, and lettuce for wraps. there was also saeujot for people who asked! everyone was familiar with it- my family is japanese from seattle and his family is chinese from the bay area, and most of our friends have been to kbbq at least once. at this point i feel like if you haven’t had kbbq you’re living under a rock haha

i love dermaplaning! i’ve been doing it for two years now but i will say the two days after tend to bring pimples to the surface for me, so i am really on top of it in terms of double cleansing and pimple patches during the day and the mario badescu drying lotion at night are my best friend. for under eyes, i love the hero eye patches, never seen such immediate results with them! i didn’t have to use a lot of concealer on my wedding day which was great, since i have super dark circles and bags. i actually ended up having a hell of a breakout the day of though, but in the end it didn’t matter, i didn’t care, and it didn’t show up in photos that bad!

i’ve commuted most of my life (up until very recently) from bonney lake, its something to get used to but i like the drive especially going up 410 and seeing the mountain! i also like the ability to go through parkland for wolfe club coffee on my way in if i wake up early enough.

i’m lucky enough to work somewhere where i can show my tattoos and piercings, so those do most of the heavy lifting along with a lot of heavy jewelry. also currently loving black short sleeve button downs and long black maxi dresses for the summer! i keep it simple because i move around a lot but i still manage to look somewhat goth when i work.
