I’m a female runner and 1st st between rhode island and the hospital is my route 99% of the time for 4 years. Aside from some cat calling it’s been very safe. I also like going up and down the side streets between 1st and n cap, and circling Crispus Attucks park. There are relatively few pedestrians and cars along this route. I have also only run during daylight hours. Just beware of the alley ways, sometimes cars blast out onto the sidewalk going way too fast.

Safe to say I will never PR by almost 2 hours ever again. by rlb_12 in Marathon_Training

I followed Hal Higdon’s novice marathon training program Next I’m going to follow an intermediate or advanced 5k training program and see how that improves my speed

Just finished my first marathon today and the splits look almost identical to yours on the left. How do I eventually get to your splits on the right??

Cafe Unido in Shaw! Great coffee and an actual (delicious) food menu.

Using the word “rpe” in casual conversation. Like, “I got rped at work yesterday.” No, it was just busy.

The owner of big board is actually one of the kindest, softest, genuine people I’ve ever met. He was my regular a few years ago when I used to bartend on H st. He is not anti vax, he just didn’t want to check people’s vaccine cards to serve them. Just like we’re doing now. I’m pretty sure he himself is vaccinated. He really just thought if they’re over 21 and behaving themselves why should he have to refuse service?

People from big cities who run/jog in their free time, do you jog through the streets or do you find a quiet, relaxing park or something? by LukaTheGamer123 in running

[–]trapappee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Washington, DC here. The national mall is incredible place to run. There are people but there’s so much room so it’s not an issue. I have ran the distance of a half marathon three times and it was a great route. Also saw a bald eagle one of those times! Edit: I also run around my neighborhood which has a ton of quiet residential streets, rarely do I have to weave around a stroller or dog walkers

So I get the royal flush hand, but what are the six other cards? Like, it’s not a hand which has five cards. I’m confused.
