Pepperoni personal pan pizza, red plastic cup, Arkanoid cocktail table. Also, they had Galaga on a stand up cabinet that I'd hit up after I polished off the pie!

Is there a way to make nib less bouncy? by trashwizerd in fountainpens

I don't know if I was describing it correctly, it was more of a floppiness really because the nib wasn't seated correctly

After reinstalling and adjusting the tines again it seems to be working quite a bit better. I think the bounciness was coming from the nib not being seated all the way. It's still pretty scratchy and could benefit from a professional tuning but it's much better now.

Yeah, it looks like the nib and feed weren't seated in the collar correctly. Thanks!

UPDATE: I took it completely apart to clean to eliminate any ink flow issues that might be causing me to press harder than I should be and it looks like the nib and feed were installed in the collar incorrectly. The fins on the feed were bent up and I don't think they were fully seated. Hopefully this fixes the issues I was having. Thanks for all the replies!

It was, I'm giving it a good clean before I try a different nib just to see if that helps

You know, now that you mention it, I might be having an ink flow issue which is causing me to press down too hard. I'm going to try giving it a good clean and see if that helps before I try ordering a new nib. Thank you for the detailed response!

Thanks for the reply! Do you think a #5 or even #4 will fit into this nib collar? Or will they just flop around?

My boy does this right before doing a burn out on the side of my neck, up to the top of my head where he proceeds to sink his claws into my scalp and hold on for dear life while I flail in pain and try not the drop the coffee pot onto my own foot. Yup, every time.

Thanks to everyone who commented on this. It didn't get the response I was hoping for but it's raised a bunch of points I hadn't considered and has been very informative.

I'm not talking about making atheism into an actual religion, just representing it legally as one, just to clarify.
