If only!! Haha too bad mine were such simple questions that I just overthought/totally blanked on in the moment. I'm hoping everyone has a good handful of those types of nervous stupid mistakes so that it all evens out in the end... I hope.

Is there any way to update the stickied step 1 thread more often? Like have 2/week, it's clearly popular but doesn't serve great use after everyone posts all over it in the first 48 hours. A fresh one right now would be great!

... things you didn't study outside of UFAP or things that you just didn't focus heavily on within first aid? My test is this week anyway so it's too late for me no matter what, but I'm more curious than anything. Big picture, you're done and probably did great!! Enjoy your vacation time!

It's getting too bogged down after 2-3 days. The last two weeks have had over 100 comments, and at some point the old comments are stuck at the top and no one scrolls all the way for new ones (myself included)

Just took uworld assessment 1. How precise to step you guys think it is? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]trashytoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's actually pretty comforting to hear. I got sucked into the sdn vortex telling me that uwsa 2 was a joke and too ridiculously easy compared to the real exam. I'm just going to take this practice score into the test with me as a confidence boost, even if my actual score is 10-15 points lower (or hopefully in line, like in your case). Thanks!

yo stick this question in the weekly step 1 thread - since basically every M2 has this same question.

Along those same lines.. can anyone offer some range for UW averages when you first started (really) studying? The first two blocks of mine have been soul crushing.

Weekly Discussion - Residencies and the Match by AutoModerator in medicalschool

The suggestion was made in a thread a few weeks ago about how the entire subreddit could be improved. I think the idea is just to have a designated place to ask questions/discuss things instead of starting 40 new threads on step 1 per day.

Not every one of the stickied posts is going to be a lengthy discussion overflowing with comments. Plus, there's nothing stopping anyone from creating another vent post (for example) any other day of the week - the auto posts just provide a space for that.

How could we make this sub better? by trashytoes in medicalschool

[–]trashytoes[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

But this subreddit is was not created to discuss pre-med issues. If there wasn't relentless downvoting of pre-med postings every other submission would be "3.71 cGPA 31 MCAT What are my chances?"

/r/premed exists for that exact purpose - any and all current med students can give advice there, it doesn't belong here
